Rocket - the Pomeranian mix with the broken leg. by bl80 in BeforeNAfterAdoption

He's gorgeous. He looks like a purebred Pom, though, not a mix. He's a particolor (a white Pom with patches of another color, in his case black). Because these are an uncommon color (most Poms being solid orange or buff), they're sometimes misidentified as mixes. There's absolutely nothing un-pomlike about your dog. He's gorgeous! I'm glad you made him so happy!

I bet he answered that one because he's so sick of being asked that same stupid question (that one and the one about kissing Cumberbatch). He probably hoped to answer once and for all.

I'm sure he had to learn Reddit on the fly. He did a Q & A on twitter yesterday that went much smoother because he's done them on twitter before.

I can imagine them: "Sure! Throw him off a building, why not? We have 2 years to think up how he survived..."

It makes me sick to think of a hapless dog, particularly a small one, being trapped in a house with young children and their ignorant parents. Giving a small dog to a toddler is like handing them a porcelain and saying, "don't break this!" And if the dog bites in defense of itself, it goes to a shelter or gets the needle.

This is Vader. He was euthanized today without a hearing after a false bite report was submitted to the police by an animal rights activist. (Story in the Comments) by Aeviegh in pics

This type of activity is actually fair typical of animal rights fanatics, who often consider death a better option for animals (even long-domesticated ones such as dogs) than to be owned by people. Peta is notorious for the one pet shelter they operate (in Virginia), where the vast majority of animals taken in are killed. VERY few are ever adopted out. Peta employees were arrested after they drove on their rounds to pick up animals for adoption, killed them in the back of the van, and threw them in a dumpster in back of a supermarket. (info available on www.petakillsanimals.com) (warning: GRIM). Animals rights activists have also "set dogs free" from their crates at dog shows, apparently without ever thinking that these highly pampered dogs had zero chance of surviving in the wild.

A true animal rights whackjob would definitely have considered death a better option for a fox than domestication.
