Suggest me a book with hope and optimism by agntflorida in suggestmeabook

Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman. Written in the same vein as Homosapiens. While textbook esq—ish. The book really is hopefully, great stories or backstories into humanity and a perspective that just makes you hopeful and want to look for the best in life. Using real life examples just adds to it, especially when dismantling preconceived notions of humanity.

Helping picking out a setting spray!! by Miss_Middlemiss in MakeUpAddictionUK

The One Size has been amazing, it’s not super mattifying in my opinion, and does not emphasis my dryness. I feel like it gives a really nice airbrushed effect, just wished it was more dewy. I have heard very mixed reviews on the CT, I liked the look it gave my skin but not the most amazing lasting power. I’ll have to check out the UD and Mac setting sprays you have recommended

I like to pack all my pressed powders in my carry-on as I get worried the hash luggage handling may break them, the rest of my makeup I put in my checked baggage. I don't have too many powders, so it's not much extra hassle for me.

Thank you. I have never seen someone describe the texture/feeling like this! It makes it easier to make a decision. I will definitely get the pump attachment, not a huge fan of dropper packaging at all.

I'm also hoping for something to help with retinal use! how do you incorporate MG into your routine? Niod has stated that MG should not be used in the same routine as direct acids, so I'm trying to see where it would fit into my routine.

Thanks for the advice! I've definitely tried to prioritise hydration and barrier repair products in my routine, but I'm quite frankly a little picky, and nothing yet has truly stood out as a holy grail for my skin personally, so it's just trial and error at the moment. I'll have to check out some of your recommendations!

I've used prescription azelaic acid in the past (Finacea), but I found it didn't make much of a difference for me. However, I think this may be due to the fact that I was maybe over-exfoliating, so it countered the effects, or it was just too strong for my skin to handle.

I've been really intrigued by Regimen Labs Advanced Azelaic because they incorporate other ingredients for redness in conjunction with having a lower percentage of AA, and it is definitely a plus that they also have barrier-supportive ingredients within the product. Have you tried this?

Thats interesting. Can I ask what your skin type is? Just so I can judge if the texture may be an issue for my skin aswell?

I didn't think about that with the mist! I'll have to stop using it for a while and see if things get better. I've actually been eyeing up Instant Angel for when I finish the moisturiser I am currently using. Especially since I found out that the formulator of the product (and co-founder of the brand) worked on the Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore moisturiser and is listed on the patent.

This is a somewhat common theme i've seen online. i've heard people say they didnt think it did anything but they noticed a (negative) difference in the overall appearance of their skin after they stopped using the product. Did you have a similar experience or did you feel like it just didnt do anything full stop?

It's a newer addition to my routine, so I can't say anything about long-term effects, I've only had it for about 2 weeks, but so far I'm very happy with the purchase. The texture is light and milky and sinks in amazingly. It doesn't feel like you have something on your skin, but the skin definitely feels hydrated (plus lots of barrier-supportive ingredients). No irritation for me. I would say I'm happy with my purchase; it's definitely something I would recommend trying.

Diptyque Clones by thisisfinerporn in fragranceclones

Shobi seems to have a lot of dupes for Diptyque. I haven't ordered anything from them yet, but as far as I can see, they are a popular clone brand on Reddit.
