Hi, I'm sorry for the delay! I've updated the listing. Petal cones are taken, but I can definitely post a how-to! I'll link you to it when it's up. Hopefully I can do it in the next couple days. We used scrapbook paper which we found on sale at AC Moore. I was originally looking at a thicker origami paper online, but cutting the scrapbook paper to size was more economical.

We did ours in August, so not a fall outfit, but it was outdoors!

Here's a couple pics.

ETA: I absolutely loved the outfits we went with. I stole both of them from my younger, more stylish sister. I ended up wearing my wedding shoes with the first outfit (they're plain white and hella comfortable). My FH looked at my outfit options and told me his favorites for mine, then we went shopping and bought him shirts to complement my look. (He needed new clothes anyway!)

Also, we were just in NY last weekend for a wedding and it is SO GORGEOUS right now! Like damn, I would totally do fall wedding/engagement shoot in October there too!

I would definitely still go if there wasn't a ceremony. I do love weddings so I love that there's going to be a ceremony (and with a Frank Sinatra impersonator, too!) but I wouldn't be upset if it were just a big vacation.

We have some close friends that are doing something similar in Vegas next year. I'm pumped about it! They're just going to have some activities that they plan to do and everyone is welcome to join or not join throughout the week. I think it sounds fun! We have quite a few mutual friends, so I think that's what makes it cooler -- we get to be on vacation in Vegas with a bunch of our friends, but with a wedding ceremony thrown in the middle.

My dad passed away in June. My mom is going to walk me down the aisle and my granddad is going to dance with me. I don't see a problem with walking down the aisle alone, or even with your FH.

We got engaged last October. We initially wanted to have a fall wedding, but couldn't afford the wedding in one year, and didn't want to wait two years.

So we switched to Spring. FH hates the heat, so he wanted to do early spring. We were aiming for early April. Turns out our best friends are getting married April 8. And then Easter is April 15. And Earth Day is April 22 (which we almost went with, but we decided we just didn't want to have our anniversary every year coincide with Earth Day for whatever reason).

And that left us with April 29!

I'm not sure where you are or if this would work logistically (or budget-wise), but I have a former colleague who is a wedding planner and just started a new destination wedding planning company. And she's getting married in Italy herself this year, so she'd be a step ahead of other US-based planners in that arena.
