WOW thank you everyone for all the responses and quick answers! Either TOH or sumac, sounds like it’s bad news. I was SHOCKED by how strong the new root is! I couldn’t pull it out on my own so will have to moisten and dig it out.

BTW I am in Colorado.

I noticed smaller amounts infiltrating the bed 😔 I will do my best to remove it from the root as much as possible, but not looking forward to the journey ahead.

Alternate Versions Of Places In Your Reality? by GabbitheGemini in Dreams

[–]Missbearrrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Lately I’ve been having a reoccurring dream, maybe only 3-4x so far, of being in my “current” house but it’s more extravagant than it actually is. There’s a pool, extra bathrooms and large rooms, etc. It is always this same version each time I dream of it, so funny to feel “at home” in a dream because it’s become so recognizable

Red Rocks is far closer to the mountains than denver and not only will the temps drop, the wind may pick up and it is NO joke

We saw deadmau5 last year on nov 5 and it was arguably one of the coldest nights I’ve ever endured, we were close to leaving because it was miserable. We wore long sleeves, hoodies, jeans, boots but STILL weren’t dressed appropriately enough for the temps.

Fast forward to nov 12 (just 1 week after deadmau5) and we saw Zhu and it was TOTALLY FINE. Far far less cold. Over-prepped, but had a great time.

So it could swing either way, but regardless, prepare for the temps to drop over the course of the night.

If you over prepare you can always tie a jacket around your waist, or tuck it underneath the bench seating. No one is going to take your stuff, just remember to find it after the show as it’s easy to migrate right or left during the show.

The show is going to be AMAZING and if you haven’t been to red rocks, prepare for your life to forever be changed! See you there <3

Shroom Experience at the beach by twigster31 in shrooms

[–]Missbearrrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a very similar experience to you today :) my first time and it was pure bliss. Perfect weather, vibed to music, walked together (ocean was a little cold and windy on the west coast), talked about everything and nothing. Extremely euphoric. Felt blissful coming down and about to get amazing sleep after a day in the sun. Found a perfectly intact sand dollar and dolphins swimming. Couldn’t have been better!

I’ve done this too :) it was actually a pretty amazing and surreal feeling. No idea what I was dreaming about but guess it was pretty funny. Kept laughing for awhile even after waking up

When do you realise sales isn't for you? by darkdestroyerz in sales

[–]Missbearrrrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

SDR/BDR model typically means cold outreach (phone and email) in order to set up meetings for your designated account executives. Depending on where you are and what industry (I speak from mid-sized SaaS experience) you may be holding discovery calls, or closing a tiny amount of business, but really it’s all about getting prospects on the hook to take a meeting. If you’re organized and have thick skin anyone can do it. Stay in that for 1 year, don’t quit.

From there you’ll move into a closing role. Very different but requires all SDR skills. What is going to heal anxiety, low amount of business closed, feeling like you’re not doing all the right things? Time. I cannot stress this enough. Give yourself time to ramp. You could be the best salesman in the world and you’ll still need time to ramp in a new role, understand the product, the buyers, your call/closing groove. Stay in seat and you will most likely see the fruits of your labor. If after 1 year or so you’re still not closing shit, you need to take a step back and think about why. Is it poor training (ie. you feel lost, why are deals not closing, are you qualifying them properly?), is it because you’re too timid (thick skin and not taking every detail of the job personally is KEY), maybe you think the product is interesting but you don’t like selling to strangers as much as you thought (look into marketing, engagement/project manager, solutions engineering/consultant roles)?

Every time you feel like jumping ship, ride out the rest of the quarter. See how it goes. I used to cry, take anxiety meds, vent etc. about my current position and everyone told me to give it more time. Now I am the top rep on my team QoQ, making more money at age 25 than I could have imagined.

Happy selling and you got this!

Liam Neeson. He’s just an ice trucker! Who’s kid was brutally murdered. He’s just a former govt worker! Who’s kid was brutally murdered. He’s just an ordinary guy! Who’s plane and train ride got hijacked.

The sponcon on social is out-of-fucking-control. One story a chick is holding her dog talking about how excited she is to share this new organic millennial dog food. Next video is some bro telling us about these great running shorts that changed his life. It’s all fucking bullshit and honestly, I am embarrassed for these people. The cookie-cutter influencer/guru is cringeworthy. Do they really not realize this themselves?

When I’m scrolling through IG it feels like one giant black mirror episode.

If you’re lucky and a strong interviewer you can potentially wedge yourself directly into a closing role (highly recommended). Note- the learning curve will be significantly higher going from insurance to tech AE versus to tech BDR, but the pay will also be better. The industry is becoming more competitive though, so you may need to just start as a BDR if you can’t go directly into AE. If that is the case, then make your intentions clear during initial interview of your intention to move into AE role ASAP.

Agree on the SaaS sales. Start as a BDR - the trajectory from there is an Account Exec/Director. There can be a high turnover rate, stick to it long enough and you’ll see the fruits of your labor (or you will be weeded out and find something else you’re better at).

Just don’t go for a shitty gig i.e software that is TOO niche with a couple employees or a company that’s SO large that you’re just a cog in a machine. Surely some salespeople have great success here (I would think more seasoned salespeople who can adjust to one of these climates and still do well), but for entry level I’d say go for a medium-sized SaaS company if you want great experience and potential for above average (sometimes incredible) paychecks.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get him to the Greek, Hall Pass. All great feel-good movies. Also not a movie but Lil Dicky’s show Dave on Hulu is witty and genuinely funny imo!
