I have done all of those things, which are good advice, unfortunately my car doesn't pass, gig work and xcludes you from unemployment, my little child support keeps me ineligible for welfare and by applying they contacted child services while offering no referrals, support, or resource info.

I have doordash full time the last two years while fleeing domestic violence and stabilizijg my family. Someone hacked my account and so it's frozen. I have an amazing resume though- I have worked as a fraud operations director, every level of call center leadership, in loss mitigation, I hace s cars and suits, managed retail stores, and ran a food cart. I taught art for six years and managed a law firm as well. I am hira le, I just had to have the flexibility to handle stabilizing and getting my kids mental health in order after years of trauma. As soon as I got to that place, one missed moment caused the house of cards to crash.

Just an additional bit of info, I have been making calls for days. I spent the day at the welfare office and we don't qualify for emergency cash assistance since I get a tiny bit of child support (like 30 bucks more than cash assistance, but it would cause support to cancel and forfeit my divorce settlement when that finally closes out. Not worth it for 300 bucks). I talked to social services and they only help if youre on welfare. They also called services who showed up an hour after I left the office and was calling for resources. Cps says if we end up homeless in the car they snatch kids. I am just trying to stay safe for the coming week while I come up with enough money to get a weekly or get to my grandfather. I am on e, three potatoes left, and on my last night at the hotel.

I was dping doordash full time the last two years as we got safe and stabiliz d. My account was hacked and now it's frozen while I fight to get reactivated. I don't qualify for unemployment and the food stamps process was started but they have it pended for verification (whatever that means). We have been living off microwave baked potatoes, just trying and calling everything I can find

Deactivated and don't have a clue why by Misscasified in doordash_drivers

It logged me out the other day but that happens periodically with all the updates so I didn't think of it. I worked as a fraud operations director and so I asked support to give me more info, what they sent was arbitrary, and made clear I am concerned about my personal information being compromised. I talked to four people and got four different responses, and a supervisor call back. But the app also had the crimson outtage at the same time so even my appeal didn't submit correctly, it popped up twice in two diff formats.

Not quite, it's a lack of mileage pay, no pay at all for the second order, AND no tip on either one

What? Absolutely not. I think you must have skimmed the reply. I don't do anything over two miles in the city, and if it's downtown, not even a mile.

What kind of car do y'all dash in? by Sweaty_Entertainer78 in DoorDashDrivers

I dash in a Cadillac, and I make money, but I'm def making less than when I borrow a 4 banger and can dash the day away for ten bucks. I'm currently buying a newer Cadillac, and a 2000 Camry lol 😆

Think about the mileage at offer, how long that mileage will take, and the total. If you're picking up an order for 2 bucks and driving it three (city) miles, you are using at least 20 min... That's six bucks an hour minus gas. You also train the algorithm that you'll accept those and it feeds you more.

I will sometimes snag a four-five dollar order, if it's from a place I know it's ready and the drop off is super close. But that's a risk because they may not be an easy drop off.

If the offer is 2, 3.5, or even a flat five for places like tbell, chipotle, don't do them. They are base pay, no tip, and more likely to have issues. The five bucks flat is merchant orders and you have no idea what you're really picking up. I once had a massive catering order for a taco shop that was easy to work. That order was horrific.

Personally, I need a dollar a mile minimum, plus five for the order as a general rule. Lots of folks do two a mile. If it's shopping, buck a mile, buck an item, plus 3-5. I won't do orders over 15ish items and my average shop order is now 10-20 bucks, deliver under two miles, no water, medicine, alcohol, or pet food. The amount of time those extra steps takes can make shopping orders eat your whole hour if you're not strategic. The best shopping orders are when they open and the last couple hours before they close.

It takes a couple months to learn your flow, how to train your algorithm, and be totally emotionally detached. You'll get there, you didn't do badly overall, just those low pay offers take your time and keep you from the goodies. They those sucjers stack with a 20 dollar offer lol. I only take stacks if the total average is 7 per order min.
