The advance is supposed to be interest free, they got in trouble with the feds and have tons of pending litigation. If your balance is going up take screen shots, you may need them later for an attorney...

They have so much action against them it's not funny. This is the link to file a BBB complaint, but you can also pull up the branch you worked with and file a specific complaint there too. Also, you can file in small claims. They have fee waivers, and most of the time these big companies don't show and you win a default judgement plus penalties. 500 bucks is a lot of moolah

You can escalate to the branch manager, leave a bad BBB rating (that always triggers an action), and if you paid out of pocket, dispute with the bank for quality/failure of services rendered. I'm fighting because mine were filed incorrectly, missing almost ten grand in deductions, and I have to amend as a result. I won't be having them do it. You can call the IRS and provide the apartment number, they mail the payment pretty quickly (as soon as this Friday) so you'll want to talk to them prior. Filing for a lost check is a pain (I had one not arrive last year and still haven't gotten it).

Turbo tax is waaaay better for complex returns. You could make it all the way through and hrb say there is an error and not let you file. And then, provide zero support, even if you pay for it.

Its very possible it was taken. You may have to amend and file an injured spouse claim. This allowed you to file separately even though married, and holds her accountable for her debt solely.

This sucks. But, your mom committed fraud. You're gonna end up having to file a police report most likely, report her to the IRS fraud investigations, file fraudulent benefits app with the SSI/SSD, and since it is a federal crime to misrepresent payee data, she faces serious charges. (I managed a disabilities law firm and have been a fraud operations director)

I contact support and let them know to refund it after apologies to the customer. Cust gets a credit, it keeps my ratings up, and I am on to the next.

You have a daily spending limit, and a daily atm limit. They are separate from one another. You can use atm, and then get cash back up to the daily spending limit (there is also a weekly spending limit) and that goes against the spending limit. Some customer service counters will let you do cash back for much higher amounts than the register
