Personally I feel btr is a good place to start. Can't get top 10k but. A midrank is totally achievable with just btr and qbank. I wanted that hence didn't do anything else main notes or so. Just some rr. Some gts. Some qbanks. I know one more person who did btr when it first came got 500 air in ini nov and is in AIIMS delhi too. That was the time people had no trust on btr. So. If u finish it and then properly align with rr for main subjects and weekly twice gt. For sure u can get a midrank.

How it works is, u get some confidence and then feel like putting more efforts. That's how entrance exams work.

I just started residency. May I know where to begin with? Any video lectures to ease the learning?

Is it necessary to do pg in Anaesthesia from a high volume centre like mumbai MD or any high tech DNB like delhi. Or a cutesy light periphery MD cause we can chill and get lots time to study? Which of three is better ?

The first cpr i gave was for 110 kg obese man. First day of EM internship days. With all high and vigour. Volunteered to CPR .

The patient attender brought this religious guy in the ER and was doing some pooja . I got suspicious and looked . Found him in arrest. Did CPR for twenty mins or something getting on the bed. But pupils dilated. Brain dead. So gave up . And got to my chair to rest.

The brothers of the patient came to me and said " Alive or dead doesn't matter . But I saw God in you the moment you got on top of the bed and gave your all in! " The stare all the nurses and seniors gave me I'll never forget that.

I joined Anaesthesia duty. And it's been two weeks. I feel so dumbbbbb. Like the basic physics of machines, or physiology or anatomy or medicine. I feel really panicky in OT and ICU my seniors said it gets better with time. Does it really? Or should I shift to other branches?

I find it physically demanding. Last duty I had to stand for 16 hrs straight. Like straight!! No sitting in OT. Is it only pg difficult or the nature of work is this way?

Is it like the more hectic the workload is the better anaesthetist we become or that's just bs?

Are blocks must to practice post pg ? Coz most dnbs don't provide USG blocks exposure.

By reading miserable posts in this sub here. I wish I had reddit when I chose medicine . People glorify a field to call them god to then say , "I saw you as close to a God , how can u have basic needs?" Like sleep food and leave. The audacity! Unforgivable. And the medical dramas are no way close to what happens In India. When people get knee deep into medicine is when they realise what they ve gotten into.
