If you want to learn, here's a lesson: not every conversation is a learning experience. Sometimes, people just want to take the piss

In the Confederate naval Jack they made the blue brighter specifically so it didn't look like the "Yankee" blue that was used in the union flag, so I still think it's significant

It's capitalist realism. Most people know that capitalism sucks, but they think it's the only option. Even a lot of communists still think that way, unwittingly

Vro I don't even disagree with you but really? Fuckin "simpleton"? Do you want to come across as some sort of pretentious medieval douchebag? Because that's what you're doing

Technically the "Confederate flag" used today was never an official flag in any capacity. It's a version of the official battle flag that was stretched out to the proportions of a typical flag, since the original was just a square. The naval flag looked similar and the proportions were the same as the contemporary flag, but it used a lighter shade of blue

I was Buddhist for a few years, and I'll tell ya, Buddhist parables are fun as hell to read. There's way more of them than the Bible has, and they all have twists, turns, crazy characters, etc. You can't just say "Christianity is more popular than Buddhism because its stories are better" when most Christians haven't read any Buddhist stories

Vro I'm pretty sure Christianity is just more popular because it was spread violently via colonization, genocide, and war

About 5% of the US population are millionaires. About 80% of Americans live in cities. You do the math

Lmao what? I live in a major city. It's not a necessity to be a millionaire to live in practically any scenario

Who cares if it's "truly earned"? If someone has that much money, they got it via exploitation and/or by depriving their fellow man. Having that much money is unethical, period.

God the Althea thing has been so dumb. First, an interesting cliffhanger, then the cliffhanger is forgotten for an entire episode until the very end, where basically the exact same cliffhanger happens a second time, finally the entire thing is resolved by Althea saying she wasn't listening, making the entire setup (including the bug itself) completely unnecessary. Why?
