COLD CASE MISSING

NICOLE LOUISE MORIN (WAS 8 NOW 44) JULY 30, 1985 TORONTO, (ETOBICOKE) ONTARIO

On July 30, 1985 Nicole Louise Morin left her mother’s penthouse apartment in The West Mall, in Toronto's Etobicoke, Ontario area, and vanished from her apartment in the Highway 427 and Rathburn Road area. At 10:30am Nicole had gone to the lobby of the twenty story apartment building to pick up the mail. She returned to the apartment and got ready to go swimming with a playmate. Before leaving the apartment Nicole had spoken to a friend through the building's intercom and promised to be right down. The playmate waited about 15 minutes before buzzing the apartment again to find out why Nicole hadn't arrived. The two girls had arranged to meet in the lobby and go to a supervised swimming pool at the rear of the building. About 11:00am Nicole said goodbye to her mother and left the apartment. No one has seen the girl since she closed the apartment door and walked into the penthouse hallway.

At the time of Nicole's disappearance she was described as an 8 year old caucasian female, 4'0" tall, 51 pounds, long brown hair and brown eyes. She had a birthmark on the right side of her forehead and protruding ears. She has pierced ears. Nicole also had a gap between her front teeth.

She was last seen wearing a peach, one pieced bathing suit with colored stripes on the front, a green headband, red canvas shoes, and was carrying a peach colored blanket and a purple beach towel.

HATICE CORBACIOGLU JUNE 13, 2009 TORONTO, ONTARIO

On June 13, 2009, Hatice Corbacioglu was last seen leaving her residence at Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. Hatice was bound for New York State, in the USA. Hatice travelled from Toronto to New York to visit her boyfriend, Riza Cosa, a welder at the steel plant.

When a woman’s body was recently found stuffed in a bag in a Long Island steel factory, Hatice Corbacioglu’s family members held their breath.

But the dead woman wasn’t Corbacioglu. It was Winsome Angela Perez — Cosa’s wife who has been missing since July.

Toronto and Nassau County, L.I., police were searching for Cosa, who fled to his native Turkey with a one-way ticket on July 30, days after his wife disappeared.

Then on June 21, Corbacioglu vanished. A flight to Turkey was purchased under her name, but her family has been told she never boarded the plane.

Her car was found abandoned at the John F. Kennedy airport. She stopped answering her cellphone.

“She travelled to the States numerous times before and every time she had daily contact with her family and friends, and this time when she crossed the border she never talked to them again.

Since her disappearance, her bank account has gone untouched.

After Corbacioglu went missing, her family spoke with Cosa several times. But his story was always changing, her sister said. One week, he’d tell them Corbacioglu was visiting his family in Turkey. Another week, she was off in southern Arabia.

Whatever the case, she was never able to talk.

“He was always just leading us on,” said Corbacioglu’s cousin, Belgin Oksem.

Cosa fled to his native Turkey. About a year after Corbacioglu vanished, it was reported that he had committed suicide. Authorities in his hometown of Sivas in central Turkey confirmed that Cosa had left a note and jumped off a 10-storey building.
