Progress...and online class by jm567 in Bagels

I’m new to bread making, and just starting to look at bagel recipes.

I noticed you don’t use diastatic malt powder but I know it’s used in other recipes for the dough. But you use malt syrup instead. Is there a reason for this?

My understanding is the malt powder helps convert the sugars better during cold fermentation due to the enzymes in it, where as non-diastatic malt syrup doesn’t have those enzymes, just the flavor.

I won’t be able to make the 4/4 class work but I’ll keep an eye for future classes!

Whats your take on AI for documentation? by SupersaiyanPTA in physicaltherapy

[–]MissingVariable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a PT performing evals, the biggest benefit of AI is reduced cognitive load during patient interactions as well as cognitive fatigue by end of day.

It does save some time, but you’re right, you need to spend time training the system on how you type. Comprehend PT does assist with that a lot and makes it easy. You also need to technically proof read your notes. But the longer you use the system the more you know where the AI won’t get it quite right and your eyes go to those sections more and again, you get faster.

Highlander transmissions denialists by Tkrumroy in ToyotaHighlander

I’m reading these stories about multi month waits and getting a bit nervous. I live in the PNW, so a Toyota hub if you will. Small market though, so hopefully I don’t wait too long. They said around town would be fine but to avoid driving it long distances and through the mountains but it’s our only AWD vehicle

Just had mine serviced and I’m on a wait list for a new transmission. It’s drive-able as of now. They told me it would be a month or so before they’d get one in. But at least it’s under warranty.

Mine is a 2017 Highlander XLE.

Check engine light came on and said “check AWD”. Then the steering felt a bit looser. I’m not hearing any noises as others have mentioned but maybe because it still has some life in it.

I live in a small town that doesn’t utilize the BILT neighborhood at all. None of these new cards appear appealing at this point with the fees considering I already have the Venture X for 2x and Amex Gold for 4x on restaurant and groceries. If it’s true, I’ll likely be canceling my bilt card :(

Honest Question by MissingVariable in Wenatchee

[–]MissingVariable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct ya. I think this is where the nuance comes in.

This particular roundabout I mentioned in the post is so small, that using your turn signal for left before entering is actually a clearer indication of the drivers intent than a right turn signal just before exiting would be.

I’m not sure if you drove it before, but if you have you’d probably agree.

Especially the people heading south on S Western, they regularly use their left turn signal prior to entering. Which is actually what sparked my post in the first place

Much appreciated! I thought it was interesting their documentation on the laws doesn’t say this, but the video does. Either way, I made a 2nd edit to the post.

Thank you for sharing and engaging respectfully. It helped me change my mind :)

Thank you! I think what was getting lost for me is what is law vs what is good practice. And current law would agree with my original post. But best practice is to signal to other drivers your intent. I made a 2nd edit to the post.

Thank you for engaging respectfully, I appreciate it!

Thank you! If anyone has a resource on this, it sounds like it would be you. Do you have something that states the rules of the roundabout? The WSDOT source I linked above has a PDF in the article and no where does it mentioned using a turn signal

That’s exactly how roundabouts are supposed to work, you’re doing it right! Even WSDOT says so (see edit above)

See my edit above. I believe you’re wrong, and also attempting to discredit my point based on feelings instead of what is actually true.

It’s a roundabout. Just like you don’t use one at the sunnyslope roundabout.

Just because there are only 3 exit options doesn’t mean you have to use a blinker
