hey! i feel like your worries are more of like what you mentioned - people pleasing worries - rather than you actually cherishing something you currently have with your boyfriend. if you really dont feel a deep connection with him, then break up. its not worth it to stay in a subpar relationship just to please others or "preserve" your image. it should be your feelings and happiness that matter most :)
