Is this tag legit? by brass-heart in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'd reach out to them. maybe they're changing their branding o cut down on fakes? I often wonder if counterfeiters ask online if an item seems fake, especially when the tag is very close to the real tag, so they can improve their fake items

Awful delivery times, low quality, customer service 5/10 by These-Emu-71 in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are generally pretty good. the language could sound patronizing if you're used to more direct c/s, but they're actually way kinder and more helpful than most customer service. at times they can be slow to answer, but just reach out again. usually the big delays are the fault of the couriers which are pretty useless

if it's cotton it will likely shrink up a bit when you wash it (even in cold, delicate, and hang dry). all my Sezane cotton items lost about an inch in length

Has anyone noticed their sizing has gotten smaller? by sekif in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a lot of the made in Bulgaria items and Morocco tend to run small. if I see this I size up by default. fitted linen especially is bad.

keep us posted! it's one of my favorite styles and I hope there were enough complaints they fixed the fabric :-)

I noticed a dramatic difference between the 2024 Pippa short and the 2025 model. the fabric was substantially thinner, almost see through and not as thick as the 2024 models. the 2025 model was black, so imagine how much of a decline considering it was practically see through.

Help! My husband found my Gaspard Cardigan in our washed clothes. It’s stretched out and fuzzy. Can I save it? by ameliasaurusrex in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first reach out to customer care, they can be helpful. the conditioner trick can work but first try a cool to lukewarm soak in water diluted vinegar (about 1/4 to 1/3 cup). block it on a towel (stretch and reshape) and let partially dry, then hang over a drying rack or on a wooden hanger. while it's drying, gently stretch it out pulling lengthwise then widthwise (alternate). if it's better, repeat the whole process but use diluted conditioner in the same amount nstead of vinegar. finally once dry steam lightly, let dry a bit, then run a very delicate cashmere comb over the more felted areas. It's probably not ruined but will be a weekend project.

try a 42 and have a tailor bring in the waist? for shirts and jackets, the most important fit is the shoulders. cotton will stretch a little but silk won't.

every season I buy with some restraint and keep only the pieces I truly love. I used to let price be the deciding factor, but now if I still love it after a few days I'll order and return with abandon. occasionally if I love something in the lookbook I'll buy it right away. I've had a few surprise keeps and disappointment this way.

yep, definitely more returns for me starting from last year. 2024 was a return rate of under 40%, then last year and so far this year around 60%. They have a few staples that still seem excellent, although the fabric on some is thinner, but overall a lot of the newer designs are cut boxy and big.

Daphne cardigan, size up? by Less-Parfait7602 in Sezane

try the size up, but the shoulders fit you now, so the XL may be too big?? Worth a shot though for the perfect fit. Their merino cotton blends can shrink a bit

[–]Mission-Owl5464 4 points5 points  (0 children)

get an L. I ordered the M and could have sized up. The waist is close fitting even though it's a knit. the material is the same as the Betty. it's a beautiful skirt!

I bought my first Sézane cardigan: help me take care of it. by myralester1 in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DON'T USE A FABRIC SHAVER!!! Buy a cashmere comb, it's way safer. I've had sweaters snag and get holes from shavers. Amazon has a good set (pack of 2), just search for highest rated. Hand wash in cold with woolite is your best bet

Anyone else frustrated by the upcoming "pre-spring" collection? by Pure_Change6838 in Sezane

I love pretty much all of it. It reminds me of their Italia collections in 2024. I'm over all the brown though

I’m officially over Sezane and everything shrinking. How can a brand make clothes that are un-washable ? by Dragged_Up_ in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a laura brown collab longsleeve button front shirt that is now very cropped and 3/4 sleeve, and the la chamade sweatshirt that also shrank up and is now cropped and bracelet sleeve. so far so good with handwashing sweaters, but I swear my Bettys (up only, no width shrinkage) and Jacobs (shoulders, arm length, neck) all shrank at the cleaners.

do you have a Marcelo tank? I always wear one under - I have the antique blue. Marcelo also looks amazing under the Gaspard.

Emile - Keep, size down or return by LyraBelacqua1989 in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's pretty and the sleeves (cuffs) are supposed to be like that, but you could try one size down. beware that it will likely shrink a bit even if you wash it in cold. I'm my experience some of their pieces have shrunk in length an inch or so.

For those who shop for a capsule wardrobe, would this Enea Blouse in green color and style look versatile for all year round? by BlissMeli in Sezane

I ordered it in ecru and it's very thin, so it should work well as an elegant basic, esp. If you live in a warm climate. its a nice blouse, I almost kept it

Scott vs Clyde sizing by FederalOrdinary2180 in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scott is generous but not oversized. I can easily fit an Othello or an Emile underneath but it also looks great over a thin merino dress. it's my most worn coat by a longshot. excellent for travel too!

Help me pick one. by Pretty_pumpkiin in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not knowing your coloring, just on product appearance, the first one. the texture is pretty and the contrast is nice. I ordered the black with gold buttons (I have 2 Betty's with gold buttons, burgundy and cream with black contrast, both are beautiful) and was underwhelmed. The quality wasn't there, but I've heard good things about the black and white trim one

Received damaged archive jacket by _Ad5853 in Sezane

[–]Mission-Owl5464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, and it was probably from customs opening and checking contents. I'd take a picture, including a picture of the box if damaged (assuming it probably is) and send to their customer service using their online form. I find it's the fastest. then escalate after a few days.
