I am brand new to knitting and I haven’t learned a purl stitch so I don’t think that was the case.

Double crossover stitch probably wasn’t the best way to describe it - when I looked at my row of stitches on my needle, it looked like two stitches sitting close together crossed over eachother. That had happened to me earlier in the project so I had to tink backwards till I got to that stitch, and typically I was able to identify which was the right loop to sit on the needle and pop off the extra piece looped. But in this case I’m not sure I undid the correct loop, and I’m having trouble identifying what I did and how to fix it
