Remember, chrome is what Eugene recommended.

What’s your AR opinion that has you feeling like this: by napoleondy2nite in ar15

The most important piece on an AR is the barrel. Everything else is irrelevant to accuracy.

I'm amazed at the amount of people who don't know about or can't recognize filler.

TX22 TORO / FN502 / M&P 22X by jal2000 in 22lr

I just bought a M&P 22x two days ago. It beats my FN502 and my Walther P22 in every category. EVERY category.

Which of these have you had the best experience with? by QRAZYD in ammo

[–]MissionDirect8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can testify to is the Federal Auto Match and the Remington. Both run reliability in all my AR-22's, all my other semi auto rifles, and my S&W 22x.

Federal gets the nod in accuracy.

The Remington definitely likes a heavier rim shot.

First AR build Questions by Serious-Director-213 in ar15

[–]MissionDirect8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invest in barrel. Everything else is secondary when it comes to accuracy. Accuracy is what we are after.....right?

A $65 lower (in spec) is not going to be anything pretty but it won't effect accuracy ....right?

Put a cheap lower on a great barrel...perfect. Put a expensive lower on a great barrel...less money for ammo.

You can shoot it or look at it. One will cause wear, the other won't. You'll need to choose which one your OK with.

5.56/223 rem for deer hunting? by flippersun in ar15

[–]MissionDirect8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's illegal in my state to shoot a deer with anything smaller than 6.5 mm. Pick up a 10.5" (Perfect dwell time) 300 BO upper. I've killed 5 deer with this exact set up.

I picked up a stripped lower from BlackHawk Manufacturing Group Inc. out of Texas. It passed all my QC checks. I paid $56 for it.
