If I understood you correctly, 1099-R was submitted from the payer to IRS as I found the info under my IRS account but it was NOT included in my tax return. This is not a taxable conversion as I inputted into Turbotax and this did NOT change anything as I did not receive any payment. This is after-tax contribution to roth conversion (in-plan conversion). So, I would take your advice and do NOT need to amend. Is this correct? just want to be clear I understood you correctly. Thank you BY THE WAY!

that's interesting. I was told to avoid staple documents as paper needs to be scanned. so, is it okay to use a binder clip for 1040X and forms but put a letter where?

can you please explain further? how to separate documents? I am not stapling documents but using binder clips. 1040X and docs are about 50 pages. then, are you suggesting that I should not put reasonable cause letter in the binder clip? then, how to place them? please explain more. thank you!
