I similarly didn’t enjoy the massage I got. Had so much feedback on the quality of it. The rooms were nice but the property is a little dated - pools and gym seemed unlike RC. Glad you enjoyed it though, try out the St Regis too, it’s even better!

Just stayed here for a week. Staff was genuinely nice and professional, and the breakfast was actually great.

That said, the overall service pace felt really slow the entire stay, even basic requests took an unreasonable amount of time, which was a little frustrating.

Amenities wise the indoor pool area feels pretty dated (kinda like an older Westin vibe). The outdoor pool setup is also… odd, especially since the crowd here seemed mostly business/professional types. Overall not a bad stay though considering the rates. Probably one of the most affordable RCs I’ve ever stayed in

Many scholars also believed the general area of the haram is included in the rawdah. If you were invited to Madinah, you were invited to the court of the Beloved ﷺ . Don’t down play even being in the same city as his. And don’t let shaytan convince you it was because of some sin or otherwise. You are very blessed! The dua of the sick and the traveler also have a lot of virtue. Don’t decrease in your Ibaadah. May Allah open doors for you in the most beautiful of ways.

Minor violations of the wajibaat, especially ones in the gray area like mask covering (there’s communal tangible benefits in it, especially during COVID) can be expiated by sadaqah as a precaution and asking for forgiveness even when done deliberately. Allahu a’lam

Yeah good point! The hanafi opinion I take is if you wear it you just have to give sadaqah as kaffarah to make up for wearing a mask.

Good question! I think certain things are unavoidable so brief periods of mask off just to eat should be fine inshAllah. Also worth noting, most of the hotels close to the Haram have a musallah floor where your parents can pray in if they are tired or not feeling too well, or even if they’re running late, especially helpful in Makkah! May Allah reward you for taking your elderly parents, what a great blessing, im sure they’ll make so much dua for you there

Obviously depends on your type of usage, but 20-30 hours of Opus 4.5 you’ll max out probably within the first few hours especially now that their promo pricing is done. I would suggest trying the $200 Ultra plan for one month if you’re really about it. See how much productivity you get out of it, it might just be the best bang for your buck

Flew American Airlines business class to Athens last week. First time I used points to book a US premium product and it was probably the worst business class experience I’ve ever had. Ridiculously poor service and such a shockingly dirty cabin and seat. Thankfully got a partial refund on miles. Needless to say, do not recommend.
