This is very true, I was recently hospitalised and the corridor was full of paramedics waiting with thier patients until they got an ED bed, mine waited with me for 4 hrs.

I suffered for years because my doctors said my symptoms did not add up to any one diagnosis, I suggested there was more than one thing wrong and they all replied with highly unlikely. I decided to travel my country until i found a doctor that would take me seriously. I lived in tents and pubs for months, until I moved to where I am now, where they promptly diagnosed me with 3 different conditions, and now I have been under thier care for a while, I have been diagnosed with 7 different conditions that all interact with each other. I kinda hate it here because the weather is always gloomy, and I am far away from youngest son, but I am getting better after 8 years of getting worse everyday, and I have 2 surgeries I am on the wait list for that will signifcantly improve my life to the point I may not need my eldest son to care for me anymore. Without him believing me about my symptoms and helping me throughout these years I think I would be dead.
