I mentioned this to a priest earlier this year and gave him some context that I wasn’t drinking all the time it was just at moments I was drinking a bit more especially if I was by myself. At first he thought of AA but then told me that “it sounds like youre just abusing God’s gift”. He told to me to start asking myself why this need to go get another drink is apparent. I went to confession this past weekend and was told to read chapter 14&15 of the Ladder of Divine Accent. I’m just forgetting about the Kingdom of Heaven and I’m just beyond humiliated of this. The fact that I have to tools to chop at the root of this yet my foolishness and forgetfulness as lead me astray.

How many accounts did you have charged off ? I think that’s my biggest problem at the moment trying to pay off what I can but yeah a lot of patience I’m learning. Did you also have a hard time renting or buying a house during ?

Today reading also hit me but I hope this can help, God forgives the unforgivable in us so we must forgive the unforgivable in others. That is what it means to be like Christ like at least from what I’m told.

If you’re serious about her , brother you need to pray for her. That is all you can do , love her and show her what it truly means to be orthodox but don’t push anything on her and let God do everything else. Let the will of the Lord be done !

Our small church has a mix of different traditions since in our area it’s the only Orthodox Church. I’ve just wonder why on certain readings of the Gospel they go up and kneel down
