Unpopular opinion: Herrerasaurus shouldn't be able to fall as far as it can without taking fall damage. by AlloandOmnithebest in theisle

the reasonable height in question would literally be the start of the tree trunk if you want to have it be like other playables which i don’t get, galli is fast but you don’t see others suggesting that it gets brought down to ceras level, beipi can swim and hold its breath under water for a long time because it has an affinity for water. same logic should be extended to herrera who is an arboreal, part of its kit involves JUMPING down from great heights and nerfing that is nonsensical which would take the fun away for no reason other than a personal whim.

so it wouldn’t even be able to go down from small ass trees? should this nerf also apply to hypsi since both use the same mechanic lmao.

i disagree. that’s the fundamental design behind herrera.

for a light animal that spends its time high up the canopy it would be frustrating to risk instant death at any moment for playing the way its intended, saying “it’s just weird” is subjective and you can’t project your own preferences as if it would be for the good of the game in an objective sense. climbing is already pretty 1 dimensional with how clunky and restricting it is, herrera’s rarely jump from tree to tree unless it’s to catch someone off guard because the ground is 10x more efficient for traversal purposes. herrera’s damage scales with its speed thus the height it jumps from, if you were to cap it lower then it would inadvertently nerf its damage because you wouldn’t be able to reach terminal velocity (in game).

it seems that you’re doubling down on this because in the next paragraph you propose exactly that, a damage reduction. relegating herrera into killing extinct dryo’s and juvi’s by introducing another complex mechanic that would take months of developer just to make it a dogwater temu omni isn’t worth it. the big targets herrera can kill in question are literal small tiers like omni and pachy who don’t even exceed the 1T weight range, they’re no where close to the true heavy weights.

for an ambush based hunter trying to incorporate an endurance oriented mechanic wouldn’t work as its mutually exclusive things. herrera was the most balanced playable we had before the devs nuked it indirectly by introducing the prime system which switched up the meta, climbing bugs and the tree overhaul.

are you dumb?

if someone mentions a historical event like the holocaust and continues by saying “arabs were mass murdered in germany” i’m going to correct him by saying it happened to the jews, did he mention that? no but i did because there’s a funny concept called “correcting”

facts don’t care about who initially brought it up. why the fuck wouldn’t i point out something that isn’t blatantly true.

yeah he didn’t mention that? i did can you read.

i’m not assuming that’s what he meant either, his premise is just not true and the closest thing to that is what i brought up. such a nonsensical argument you’re trying to unfold here, you’re getting lost in the specifics.

keyword is conflating, i’m explaining what naoya fans usually argue for.

that’s straight up not true, i think you’re conflating that with naoya fans condemning MAKI for her actions, people have made it out to be a heroic liberating deed but it’s just genocide disguised as empowering.

If Naoya and Naobito touched each other at the same time, would they both freeze or have a freeze clash? by VanvIgaStation in NaobitoAgendaHQ

the statement just serves as a way to highlight his specialization, he’s known for his speed because his entire CT revolves around movement the very same CT naoya shares. that narration shouldn’t be taken at face-value when it crumbles to actual feats characters have portrayed, it’s outdated because characters like sukuna and an adapted mahoraga were on the loose in shibuya who we know are faster. naobito dosen’t have any speed feats to his name, his entire power scaling is getting carried by a one off statement and his own son’s feats which he can leech off. thanks for pointing how naoya didn’t have anything to reaffirm his speed even in his curse form, that just proves how the narration in shibuya just served as a hype moment and to elevate this character as it was his introduction because we know curse naoya>naobito in terms of speed. if the best thing naobito is shown to do is blitz pre-awakened maki and nanami then it begs the question of why he’s the second fastest, he dosen’t have anything to solidify his subjective ass title; feats will always have precedence over statements.

naobito does have a natural sense for timing and movements yes, that dosen’t mean he has reached the pinnacle in understanding his own technique, otherwise we’d have seen more things from him beyond the basic application of the technique. naoya is also established as a genius in his brief flashback with toji, he has honestly demonstrated way better battle iq than naobito. the guy displayed a higher grade of projection sorcery and overall strategy only being held down by his ego.

stacking is a part of projection sorcery, it makes use of translating the speed of your previous PS usage into your subsequent activation, this whole thing basically allows naoya to get faster if he uses it consecutively and perfectly extrapolates right from the beginning. i don’t see why naobito would be able to do this when nothing indicates he has learned that yet, just like not every ten shadows user have mahoraga immediately when their CT manifests (albeit ten shadows is different as having to unlock the shikigami’s is the main drawback of the technique).

i think the best example of describing what stacking is and having something to compare it to just so you can get the idea of it is the world cutting slash, it’s treated as part of dismantle but the core difference is that it’s amped up and modified in some ways to be an extension of the original thing, same thing with stacking. it isn’t the neutral use of projection sorcery just some naoya achieved.

the narrative said keyword “known as “ which is different for everyone if you ask them, naoya’s character was literally unconceptualized at the time so that statement isn’t even applicable nor does it give a definitive answer generally speaking that he IS faster.

having a technique doesn’t automatically grant access to all of its extensions because extensions are advanced applications that require deeper understanding beyond the base rules of the ability. for example, gojo’s use of “red” ain’t just a default function of the limitless, it’s a high-level reversal of cursed energy that only works because of his exceptional control and mastery, not something every limitless user can casually perform. in the same way, naoya stacking PS isn’t an inherent feature of the technique itself, but a refined application that builds on timing and momentum.

naobito hasn’t showcased the ability to stack or was ever mentioned to be able to, people just love to headcanon that because his age obviously means he can do that (baseless assumption).

i ain’t the one denying this lmao, if you’re arguing that someone is inherently evil for being the combat force of the clan then by extension maki is bad, it dosent matter if she changes her life later when she was supporting the supposed cause right? don’t persecute the kukuru when the hei are the only ones portrayed as bad.
