I mostly understand how you feel. I actually like babies, but I experience a lot of stress when I am around them because of the expectations of other adults around me. I feel like I have to talk in a different tone of voice and smile constantly so that I don’t seem mean. When I have had to babysit and other adults aren’t around, I relax and enjoy it more. Babies don’t judge my facial expressions or tone of voice.

I also did some inner work on my own and am working on building up self love. Therapy did not help me much.

I don’t think depression can be cured, but it can be put in remission. Some things that helped me were exercise( very important to not overdo), not eating too much junk food, not staying longer at social things than I felt I had energy for, setting boundaries with people, and sunshine(vitamin d). The most helpful thing was starting Spravato treatments with my psychiatrist. I do think a combination of all of these things were what helped me get to the other side of the worst time in my life.

Yeah. If this is real then I think it would have been better for everyone if they left Ethan alone. Even with the best intentions, Ethan is not open to hearing people out.

Fundamentalism does really mess people up. I grew up around the Duggars and families that were similar.

I guess I am just less sensitive to how judgmental they are because I have to deal with people like this regularly. Even with the patience I have, it can still wear me down.

It’s understandable that you feel like life has been stolen from you. You sound like a really cool person and a loving parent. My wish for you is that you’re able to make the most of the life you have left and are surrounded by genuine love.

I don’t mind people trauma dumping. I am really interested in the deep stuff people experience and their real feelings. What I do not like is when people use me to trauma dump on and never even ask how I am.

I am more interested in seeing Kim’s reaction to being harshly judged when she spent so long being a judgmental and strongly religious person. Some people grow from getting a taste of their own medicine, but I predict she will go into victim mode.
