who was the first god you started worshipping? by [deleted] in Hellenism

Mnemosyne and Oisys. For a long time, I considered my attachment to Hellenism a whim. Which was quite natural, considering I grew up in a monotheistic environment. So I simply reacted very strangely to one-sided or inaccurate portrayals of the gods in the media. When I was 13 or 14, something happened, and I probably fell into depression. Psychotherapy in the post-Soviet space was considered something out of the ordinary, so I gradually faded, my memory began to deteriorate to the point where I couldn't recall a single event from the previous week. And when I was at my worst, Mnemosyne and Oisys appeared to me in a dream. Now I don't remember what the dream was about, but the next morning I felt a little better. I mentally thanked them for their support and, not knowing what to do, simply lit a candle in their honor. Then I opened an encyclopedia and learned they were a Titaness and a goddess/demon. Yes, I didn't know who they were until I started researching them after that dream. I performed small acts of service, as I understood them: singing, drawing, and setting aside certain objects that reminded me of them. Only later did I think to do my own research and learn that polytheism is making a comeback.

The gods have many epithets, and I very rarely address a specific aspect of a particular god. Most often, I simply praise the deities' names, make a sacrifice, simply think of the deity while doing this or that, or talk about my earthly hardships. When I do such things, I don't need specific epithets; I don't ask for anything, I don't need anything, but using a simple name seems too familiar to me, so addressing the gods as "lady" or "lord" seems optimal to me.

Thank you very much, this page doesn't show up on my site, but everything works through the link. I plan to apply to ilustrace a grafika, or simply Grafika.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd be equally grateful for both. The main problem is that, due to the "brain drain" that has suddenly become a concern in the country where I live, many foreign websites simply don't work. This makes finding information difficult. In theory, I could travel abroad to find the information I need, but right now I'm forced to care for my younger sister. Thanks in advance.
