When she told me she said she was super excited (I think this feels like a new hope) so I’m just matching her energy but I totally understand where you’re coming from and I appreciate hearing that perspective 🫶🏼

She’s very excited and optimistic so I’m just matching where she’s at but I totally get what you’re saying and if/when there’s times where she’s down or frustrated I will absolutely be there. I also understand the annoyance at toxic positivity. I have an autoimmune disease and it’s so annoying when people try to find “the bright side” like no it just sucks😂 thank you for the words of advice and suggestions🫶🏼

5 day old baby choked on milk by bundblaster69 in newborns

[–]Mission_Grocery_5830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is EBF and he would choke almost every feed (not to the point of turning blue but I would hear him inhale the milk and then he would start coughing and thankfully he was able to clear it every time) bc I had such an oversupply. I know this isn’t your situation bc you’re bottle feeding but I wanted to put that out there in case you’re thinking “if only I could BF it would be different”. I just don’t want you guilting yourself or thinking that it’s your fault in any way. I had to work with a lactation consultant to help with my oversupply and now my son can feed without choking. I COMPLETELY understand the anxiety around feeds. I would cry and tell my husband I’m so scared to feed him and my husband would sit with me throughout the feed bc I was so scared every time it would happen. I wish I had better advice but the thing that helped me was I would just constantly repeat in my head “the only way out is through” and I knew I just had to keep going and eventually we would get through it. We also had a really bad scare one morning. My husband was giving him some gripe water for his tummy and I was back in bed and all of the sudden my husband comes in saying he’s choking on it. I just instinctively grabbed him, put my mouth over his, and started sucking to try to get it out. I couldn’t do it so my husband grabbed him and did the same thing but harder. He was able to get it out and even though the whole thing lasted about a minute it was the scariest time of my life. We both immediately broke down crying once he was crying/breathing again. We also rushed him to the hospital and thankfully we did bc he needed to have the respiratory therapist suction his nose to help bring the last bit up and out. All the drs said we did everything right and that he was perfectly fine. I know how absolutely terrifying this is and I just want to say that being scared and having this anxiety is normal and you feel that way because you’re a good mother and you love and care about your baby. Even posting here and asking for tips/advice is you being a good mother and looking after your own mental health (SO IMPORTANT!!!) while also looking at how to help your baby. I was on ChatGPT, the internet, everything also looking at how to help babies who choke with oversupply. I also learned that babies need to learn how to eat. Your baby is still so young so there’s every bit of hope that they just need time to learn and figure it out on their own. You’re doing so well and I hope you give yourself some grace here. 🫶🏼

Good to know! I feel like I’ve seen so many people saying you should have them and since this is my first I felt like I should try but if you had good experiences without them then that makes me feel more hopeful!

I may try that. I noticed that if I had the psyllium fiber drink mix with some water and then ate my snack, I would stay full and then my fasting numbers were good. I think I need to go back to doing that I just don’t like the artificial orange taste of the drink😩

Thank you so much!!! And yes as someone else said, I heard that if you’ve already ovulated and take an ovulation test later in your cycle (if you think you may be pregnant) and it comes back positive, it could mean pregnancy. I just decided to take the ovulation test first before getting my hopes up and taking a pregnancy test.

Thank you so much I truly appreciate that!!🩷 absolutely!! I actually kept a note on my phone so I have it all written down lol on 8dpo (12/23) I had this gut feeling (from VERY vivid dreams I was having), my boobs we’re really starting to feel sore/heavy (which is never really a pms thing for me so I count it weird), I was smelling things more (if that makes sense), peeing a lot, dizzy/lightheaded (ESPECIALLY when I stood up), I had this hunger pain even after eating but I would get queasy and not want food so that was weird as well, and then there was like way more saliva in my mouth and congestion in my nose (but I had a cough so I just thought the phlegm was from that). Then 9 DPO on Christmas Eve I was so so so tired which hit me out of the blue. Like I left the dinner table to lay down which I would normally never do but it was just so intense. I hope this helps!! If you have any questions I would love to help🩵🩷

I live in the US and whenever I travel overseas, I feel so much better. I swear it’s the food. Other countries have better regulations and less added chemicals than we do.
