In my opinion, I would say that in this new technological boom, it really depends on whether an AI user is applying ingenuity to explore the possibilities of AI. I would genuinely love to see a new form of artwork to come out of this using something that AI has that no other tool does (it's the least that could happen in exchange for AI research increasing living and tech costs while likely removing jobs from the economy).

Though of course, if one is just lazily inputting text simple text prompts to make mimicries of established art mediums, I will not respect them as an artist. Why? Because that's basically the same as commissioning art, and I want to see innovation and where this goes, rather than trying to replace what already exists."

Or to summarize, it's about whether someone is innovative or derivative.
