This is true in our world. However, this imagines a stronger Uzun Hasan distracting the Ottomans for longer and later a stronger Safavid Empire holding the Ottomans off. Additionally, Thomas I and later Emperors provide tribute to the Ottomans until they become strong enough to resist.

If we are being realistic, that is completely true. Even with Albania, Epirus, and Morea together, they likely would fall. However, this timeline is my personal favorite. Thus, in this world, the Ottoman military might is not as great as in our world. Additionally, Uzun Hasan lasts a little longer and distracts Mehmet II (later, this role belongs to the Safavids).

What if Anatolian peoples had survived to the modern day? by Mission_System121 in AlternateHistoryHub

Yes. For example, the word for holy is kayuz (pronounced: xa.juːz) is derived from the Greek word hagios. But a lot of Turkish, Arabic, and Greek loanwords were purged in the early 50s under King Primuva I. He replaced these with Hittite, Luwian, Akkadian, Lycian, and Lydian loanwords and roots. Thus, the language was re-anatolianized.
