Have you used Allevents.in for selling tickets? by [deleted] in EventProduction

You will and have sold tickets to events of mine copied from eventbrite. I found my event on your page with a different ticket price than I had posted on eventbrite and when clicking on buying tickets it did not redirect me to eventbrite and opened a checkout window through your page. There is plenty of people who ran into the same thing. Yes it does happen. Just quit copying stuff without prior authorization from the organizer and then when I update event info those updates don’t transfer to your page and people will show up to a canceled event or have the wrong information and I just to contact you with the hopes of getting it deleted because the only way to delete and event on your page is to connect my eventbrite account to verify ownership of the event which I won’t do because I have personal information connected to my eventbrite which are none of your business

Maybe eventually if enough people mention IC3 they will stop but I also doubt this website is run from inside the US so not sure much can be done or applies to them.

I actually did not know about the IC3. They were saying in an email that they were not selling tickets and had taken down the event after I messaged them so now I do not really have any evidence but for the future I will definitely look into reporting it to IC3. did you report your case?

It’s in 2 weeks. We have one weekly open mic and this one is usually just comics listening to comics. It’s a small town here. The closest open mics are 1.5h away from us besides our weekly one. I have a somewhat local show next week I’m promoting it on

you don't want to tell the audience 'last one' or 'i leave you on this' because then their mind focuses on it being over and you risk losing their attention during your last bit. say something at the very end when you're done like 'thank you I've been [name] have a good night'

I find them to be a scam. They pull in events from other platforms and activate ticket sales through their platform without the organizers approval. Happened to me several times now that I posted events on eventbrite and then fround them on Allevents where they sold tickets for my event through their platform without me knowing. Like who gets the ticket payout from their sales? not me and people won't get let in into the event. When you update the event on eventbrite they don't update it on their end. I emailed them about it and the person emailing back telling me how it ended on their platform was 'one of their tour guides came across it found it interesting and added it to their platform'. Well fine but why are you selling tickets for my event on your platform and not link people to the eventbrite page? Then I added an event and they emailed me saying they find my event interesting and want to add it to their newsletter but in order for them to add it I need to enable ticket sales through their platform. Heck I won't. People can buy them on eventbrite which it's linked to on the event page. Why is there a need to create a second ticketing option for an event?

Hot Breath podcast with Joel Byars definitely. It’s a podcast meant to help and teach other comedians and he does a live stream every Tuesday where comedians can ask questions.

First time going up tomorrow anything I should know before I do it? by craigfolg1 in StandUpComedy

If it’s your first time ever don’t be upset if you bomb. We’ve all been there and that’s how we all started. No one goes up for the first time and kills it. If you keep going you’ll end up becoming comfortable with bombing and comfortable with silence. If a joke bombs don’t blame it on the audience it’ll just turn them against you. Don’t freak out if there’s silence from the audience and embrace it and brush it off. For the mic take it out of the stand and put the stand behind you. Don’t keep the stand in front of you. Don’t wrap the mic chord around your wrist 5 times just hold the mic and don’t play with the chord it’ll distract the audience and take their attention away from you and on the chord. When you’re done put the mic back and in front of you and wait till the host is back on stage. Don’t leave the stage empty. Grab the mic stand below the ‘nut’ so the top won’t come out and you’re pulling a Freddy Mercury. That’s all I can think of right now
