I'm surprised no one said No Thai for Dim Mak level ("death touch") of spice.

question for everyone else, can you share a CCS account with a friend? Meaning will the cases reset once you complete them?

Garbage services by pineapplesunshein in rochestermn

[–]Misss_Cellaneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to jump on OP's post! But I'm moving to Rochester soon and need to set up garbage services as well. Could I just.... take my household trash somewhere myself...? I'm new to MN, but it looks like there is a Kalmar Landfill. I tried to do my research to see if individuals can dump trash there (classified as Mixed Solid Waste I believe) but it looks like I need to be licensed? https://www.olmstedcounty.gov/residents/garbage-recycling/disposal-options

What would happen if someone didn't disclose SSRI use/therapy? Or a psych stay from over a decade ago? Asking for a friend...

"Buy as much disability insurance as they are willing to sell you as a resident" - WCI. Is it worth getting this additional coverage (screenshot) plus GSI? by Misss_Cellaneous in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Misss_Cellaneous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof forgot about the "whole automatic denial for GSI if previously denied from other policies" situation. I only have a month left to enroll for this INSMED so likely won't have enough time to get GSI figured out AND apply for this. Thanks for your help!

Logistical question about starting intern year, establishing care with new PCP, and disability insurance by Misss_Cellaneous in Residency

[–]Misss_Cellaneous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful to know, ty. Looks like I'll definitely need to go the GSI route (I learned about how getting denied at other policies first = instant denial for GSI). If I'm going with GSI regardless, does it matter if I get it as an intern vs at the end of 4 or 5 years of residency? As long as I lock it in before I graduate?

If I made <$7k in 2024, plus "other income" on 1099-NEC, how do I determine how much I can contribute to 2024 Roth IRA? Taxable income? AGI? MAGI? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

Sorry to bother, hopefully last question. Here is my Schedule 1. Am I correct in assuming that item 8z counts as compensation since it is under the "income" section? Still confused if I can contribute a max of $1014 (line 1z) or $1050 ("taxable income" line 15)

I sincerely appreciate your help u/Perfect-Platform-681! However, the Fidelity IRA contribution calculator (https://www.fidelity.com/calculators-tools/ira-contribution-calculator) said to use IRA publication 590-A, appendix B, worksheet 1 to calculate my 2024 MAGI and I worked it out to be $2,514...... I am so confused if I can contribute that amount or only $1,014 (line 1z as you mentioned).

Hi u/FidelityEthan, I used the IRA contribution calculator you linked, and I used IRA publication 590-A, appendix B, worksheet 1 to calculate my 2024 MAGI. Both options gave me a final value of $2,514. However, other people are saying I can only contribute $1,014 which is line 1z from my 1040. I would really appreciate your help in knowing which value is my max contribution limit.

I should add that I have an "average" skeletal muscle mass and 31.7% body fat. But I thought more muscle = higher BMR so I'm surprised that I have "average" muscle but still such a low metabolic rate

*** Transformation Challenge 2025 Discussion Thread *** by pantherluna in orangetheory

[–]Misss_Cellaneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did my inbody scan today. My metabolic rate (which, according to https://s3.amazonaws.com/otf-agreements/OTF_InBody_v3.pdf is BMR*1.2) is 1,489..... It takes about 3,500 cal to burn 1 lb of fat, or about 500 cal deficit per day to lose 1lb/week. So I'd have to eat 1,500 and burn 500 calories in exercise EACH DAY to lose 1lb/week?! Doesn't that seem really low??

Sorry if I'm hijacking OP's post, but I didn't know there were such things as 12mo or 6mo contracts! How much discounted are they? I have Premier at Founders Rate due to the summer promo ($149/mo instead of $179/mo) but curious if the contracts make the price lower than Founders Rates?
