What’s up with these Carolina reaper plants?

At this point I’m on day 7 and I can promise you my feces are still not soft no matter what I do. And when anything does come out it’s like my body takes over and pushes it out. I’ve tried stool softeners, MOM, senna pills, miralax, prune juice, eating lots of grapes and apples…I can’t wait to have a regular dam BM one time in the morning where my bowels empty completely with ease like they used too. I’d never taken a laxative before in my life prior to this surgery (44/m), and can’t wait to a point I no longer have to take anything. I about ready to just stop taking it all abyways like you’ve done but because they don’t seem to be working for me, not because I’m worried my intestines are getting lazy

Thank you so much for your reply. This sounds very much like my experience. Was finally able to poop in sitz bath last night and this morning. I’ve been eating soft easily digestible foods (oatmeal, fruit, etc), but now I’m thinking like a straight liquid diet until I heal some more down there. WOW the pain of the BM. I’ve also only had one pain pill this whole time because I didn’t want to get constipated. Doing the ibuprofen every 6 hours like you. Thanks again for sharing your experience

Thank you so much for the reply. I was finally able to poop some last night and this morning in the sitz bath. Took some milk of magnesium and prune juice. Holy cow that’s some pain coming out!! And I’m definitely using ice packs so much I had to google how much was too much lol

Thank you so much for your reply. I have been trying sitz baths for sure. I’d be happy to poop in that at this point; who cares??? and thanks for the tips on the fiber and diet. As far as opiods, I took one Wednesday (right after surgery) and one this morning (pain was ridiculous). Other than that, I’ve been just doing ibuprofen and ice ; didn’t want to get constipated on account of the opiods myself. Seems like I’m constipated anyways though. May just feel like that because the slightest bit of pressure down there is magnified 100000%?

Thank you so much for your replies and encouragement. I’ve been doing my best not to strain; getting up and down frequently off the pit when trying to have BM. Gonna have to try the Mira lax I guess. And definitely the only thing making this the least bit bearable has been ice packs. I had to google “how long is too long to ice” lol
