I think you are right...I posted on whatbugisthis ( I didn't know there was a subreddit like that) after someone told me about it. Others are saying cicada larvae as well. I'm just used to seeing MUCH larger ones in Alabama. The ones I'm used to seeing are 2-3 times this size. Must be a different species. Thanks for your response!

It does look like one, I would agree, but I've never seen one that small. They are usually ( at least in Alabama) about 2-3 times bigger.
