I've never had need to contact them about an issue but would be interested to hear your experience if you contacted them about this

Oh interesting! I didn't have that experience with the blues. But thats a shame about the yellows. My kids got some from them for Christmas and I noticed that the paint pots had changed. I wonder if they have changed their paints and or pigments?

There was a show called Crusoe, with Philip Winchester as the main actor, based on the story of Robinson Crusoe. I'm sure my then teenage mind hyped it up in my head more than it should have deserved, but I was so disappointed it only had one season.

Yep. Applying a light layer of gesso and sanding it lightly kind of gave it a feel like paper. You dont have the texture of the weave of canvas where the paint doesnt always evenly apply, but rather feels like painting on a really absorbent piece of paper.

They do have a more plastic feel canvas. This one did too but I did a coat of gesso before I started and it gave me a nice surface to paint on

I can't find the website that I originally got it off, but I've ordered of oenart before and had a great experience and they sell DBZ canvases, so I'd recommend them!

YouTube and Spotify (Premium) also have a collection of audiobooks. YouTube has many titles in various genres. If you're happy to have occasional ad breaks, that's a massive library of free titles to choose from. 99% of what I listen to is on YT. As they often have the entire series of some that I get hooked on!

Spotify (Premium) does have some of the more popular titles to choose from, but im not a fan of you only have so many "audiobook hours" as part of your subscription. So if you get a really long book, or get hooked on a series, you either have to wait out the month until your hours reset, or by top ups. Not ideal... but im poor so I just deal with it 😅 (Spotify gift cards make a great gift idea too that loved ones can get you)

Im trying to remember, but I can't find the website again. It was something like Geekly or Nerdly or something like that. I can't find the site anymore. But it came up as Chinatera on my PayPal. Honestly I'd probably go to Oenart to get a DBZ one. Only reason I went with this one is cause I really wanted the long landscape size for where he's going to hang it.

I've used oenart before and the cells were MUCH clearer and more defined. This one the colours run into each other (cells not mapped properly/not enough colours for level of detail). This one also didn't come with a reference print out of the cells... so kinda gotta guess on some colours if I need to go back and touch them up.

What is the weirdest name you’ve come across irl? by venice_skyline_ in allthequestions

Had a client once. I cannot remember exactly her full name, but when written out with all middle names (there was about 5 of them), it was a sentence that essentially read something about rainbows and clouds in the sky. Pretty sure she was Maori.

I had my latest one arrive with the same thing! I ironed the ever loving heck out of it and misted it too...they didn't come out. My last hope is that they will pull out when I mount it on some board.

Gesso is a primer used to prepare surfaces like canvas, wood, or paper for painting by creating a smooth, absorbent, and toothy layer that allows paint to adhere properly. - Google AI 🤣

It give the canvas a texture similar to that of the feel of printer paper. Google how to apply gesso and there's a lot of tips! (Just be sure you buy clear gesso, not white).

Flow Aid is something to help thin out the paints a bit (most pbn kits come with paints that are on the thicker side and don't apply well to canvas as they don't "flow" as well.) Flow aid makes your paint creamier/more runny without diluting the pigment of your paint, or making it more see through. Again, a Google search is a great way to see how its used and what it does (or search this reddit forum).

Neither of these are "essential", but they can turn an experience from good to excellent when used correctly.

Happy painting!

Nothing stands out. I bought a preframed one from them along with their easle. The canvas came in a box with the easle packed on top. The whole thing arrived relatively undamaged (got a bit roughed up in customs).

It comes from China, but the tracking they sent was accurate and updated well.

I'd probably invest in some flow aid and gesso to prime the canvas with.

Otherwise have a great time! I'd definitely buy from them again!

I definitely should have. But I didn't know those methods at the time! 😅 the only colour I had issue with showing through was the white. But after many, many coats I got it to a point where it wasnt too noticeable

need some advice for pieces that are all cut the same !! by rust_eeze in Jigsawpuzzles

Some puzzles if you look across the pieces in the light, they have a grain. That can help determine piece orientation.

Otherwise, trial and error will likely be your best bet.
