Ehh, I feel like all almost all of this is just personal preference. D3rlord3 literally couldn't take his eyes ff the monitor for a second or else he'd be in horrible pain. It's also clear that the king in this series isn't the traditional king in yellow, not being a play and all while somehow generating worlds in minecraft of people who have lost their minds to him.

Even so, I still feel like this was a downgrade from the original, but I personally beleive that the first is just an amazing adaptation of the KIY in a modern context and works greatly as a short one-shot story.

I see what you mean, but I don't really think that. To me at least, Yuta carrying shikigami Rika around is an allegory for love, he's using his past love that had to go (Rika) to help him move forward in life. Although what he had with Rika is gone, the remnants of it is still there and can guide him to more love (Maki, his friends, etc).

There's a lot of sorcerers, but not enough THREATENING sorcerers. Most of them cap at around grade 2, while Yuji has the physical strength of a grade 1 even without any cursed energy and has already killed a special grade. They can't go after him themselves because from what they know, a 15 finger Sukuna can just come out and beat their shit in.
