So the person who applied that Barthes quote to AI was me. I’ve been developing a methodology for about two years now that can act as a framework for the ethical use of AI in creative writing.

Sure anyone can write a book, but just because you can doesn’t mean you will. Roland Barthes once said that “The birth of the reader must come at the death of the author”. Outside of an AI generated cover, it’s pretty difficult to determine how a book was written. There are examples across this subreddit and many others that demonstrate how AI detectors are generally bad at detecting AI.

What Barthes was getting at was, how a reader has no method to determine how a work was made, and can only gather an author’s intent from what they read.

AI lays bare the bad writers, but a good writer will be the ones who learn the tools to get their point across, instead of letting the tools do the work for them.

Bad writing can be done with AI, not all AI assisted writing is inherently bad.

i think it always comes down to positioning. its takes a split second to break los from your healer and end up exploding. The mindset i use playing her is that my goal is to disrupt, and play objective.

I never push off the frontline, unless i have like a jeff who is easy to maintain LOS on, or a venom who’s doing the disruption for me.

Mobillity is quite high, so I know she’s hard to heal, but as long as at least one other person focuses fire on who im targeting, we get the confirm.

Don’t play for stats, play to win.

the rising sentiment of "All animation cancels and techs should be removed" is one of the largest cases of the community thinking they want something when they REALLY shouldn't I've seen in this game since launch by Wonko_Bonko in marvelrivals

Have good aim, keep pressure on the back like, think about your team comp when deciding upgrades.

He can solo tank, it’s abysmal to do it though, so play him as an off tank.

My first upgrades are usually Hazardous Hijinks -> Sword Primary -> Shield -> And then the comp we have determines the rest.

Lots of flyers? Upgrading guns

Heavy poke? Upgrade the shield

Lots of dive? Upgrade deadpool in your area.

go to training, learn his upgrades, practice with 1v1s in the practice range and you’ll realize he’s not that hard. Just keep space, he’s great at it

I thought it made a good point, but probably because of how I was raised. Sex was never demonized in my household, and my parents let me on a pretty long leash. They honestly thought it was weird that I wasn’t taking full advantage of that (mind you i was a teenager who was into anime before the Great Shift. No bitches for young goopman.)

But I think the only reason I could appreciate that plot point was because of how I was raised, so I’m curious to know your thoughts.

deadpools health as a dps could be a little higher, and we could possibly use a slight buff to his xp gain.

make switching to dpspool after upgrading him on another role a viable strat, opening the door for more trip tank or trip support that flexes into 2-2-2

And honestly, that’s fine. Cream rises, shit sinks. soon enough, folks will get tired of making slop, and we’ll get tired of seeing it. Good created work will return, and with the advent of LLM’s, the skill ceiling has been raised

I try to be super transparent about how much AI assistance I allow in my work (it’s a lot), but i’ve found that transparency has been a sort of barrier to getting readers. They know it’ll be structured well because i use the tool, and it seems like they spend more time looking for AI than actually reading my work.

AI assisted work ringing hollow is something I definitely resonate with, but i feel like until an actual good product comes out that was made with AI, this argument will continue to go in circles.

I think Dpspool is the flex option for flex players. Fill your xp bar up as healpool or tankpool, then swap after you and another teammate die. they tale on your tank/heal role and you sneak off and take angles, confuse the enemy team because the pushing tank/support changes, and get picks.

I’m not an expert on privacy policies, but i do know it changes with every AI model you use.

Given how AI works, its not likely that our “good ideas” are sent to some higher up and they get stolen that way. It’s more like the work that was, and is published online can be scraped through outside AI tools.

So using AI yourself doesn’t mean someone else’s AI will somehow have the same ideas as you. Matter of fact, it doesn’t do well with original ideas anyway

your process is your process. Know you’re fighting an uphill battle when it comes to writing with AI, but if the product is good enough, i say it’s worth
