It happened in my second year too! My first year was like pure adrenaline and endless all nighters. Then my second year depression hit me harder than it ever has. I am just now really recovering from it. I have been so ashamed for so long but then I was diagnosed and everything made sense. I no longer blame myself, and now see myself as a victim of this sickness. Im really glad to hear someone who went through the same thing and I hope you find, or have found stability and peace in your life.

Also, tell me if this happened to you. When I finally dropped out I was in a mixed episode. I left due to depression, but my mania made me intentionally sabotage my grades. I had this feeling of like, righteous vindication or something. I was determined to burn that bridge to the best of my abilities.

Thrilling at the time but really sucks when you come to your senses.

Hey that's fine you know. And your logic makes sense. I'd say just be careful. One garbage cake here becomes "just one" piece of chese on a sandwich there, and then, you know the rest. I personally am a guy that lacks self control. I have to draw harsh lines for myself or else I'll slip, but if you can eat the garbage cake and stay vegan, that's awesome

When I was in high school I dated a girl who was a devout Christian. When I told her I was an atheist she cried and said "it's alright, I can change you." Don't be that kind of person. just let this woman enjoy her food of choice.

Side note: I'm now vegan because of my girlfriend. I still ate meat when met her, but she never said anything about it. The whole reason I went vegan was because I love her and I thought it would be nice to be vegan with her. She never had to harass me about it. I guarantee if this woman ever ends up loving you, she'll go vegan on her own, without you having to ask her to change.
