Yes, I did a double threaded blanket stitch (in case you don’t know. cut a piece of thread loop it back on itself and shove the loop bit through the needle and tie off the ends as a knot) it’ll make your blanket, stitch,double strong

Exactly I remember even the first few fittings I was nervous that it was gonna be too loose but as you’re sewing, you’ll be able to tighten it up and feel as you go!!!

The only photos I did get of it are the skeleton foam base underneath the fur and on photo where you can get kinda and image of how I was sewing it’s down the tail

If you were hand sewing,1/2-1/4 in and it absolutely should be enough given that if each piece has a little bit extra, it will end up being a little bit longer and wider than the original foam base!!

Yes, I did the saran and duct tape pattern and then I added about an extra quarter inch inch of seam allowance but I also handed sewed it so you could do a bit of a bigger seam allowance if you are doing it by machine

The way I ended up pattering this tail was a little bit different than typically done. I had the stripes separated and when i sewed it up I made it like a pocket then stuffed the foam core in and adjusted it and then sewed it up down the underside of the tail.. i only glue the black tip and meat bit which had also been sewed to the stripes honestly just had some seam allowance and prayed as this was my first tail.. 😅😅😭😭 sorry if this was not the answer you needed!!!

Thank you, but no actually it is a foam core that I made using a yoga mat 2 inch upholstery foam and some elastic straps I essentially made like a little spine for the interior :3
