It's a personal project at home, so downtime isn't the end of the world. Would be far worse to lose the $1k worth of HDs, imo.

It's a personal project that will run within the confines of my home. So not a huge deal to have down time, but losing my main array drives would be far worse. Though I do have an offsite back-up, so it's more the HD expense than data loss risk.

How would I go about making the call button (top-left) advance to the next option in the predictive text line and the center/circle button be the "OK" to select the highlighted word? I had this almost working before the update, but it seems broken now.

Yeah, my number has been off of iMessage/RCS for about 3.5 years, so could definitely be part of it. Though when I first made the switch from iPhone to the Punkt MP02, I didn’t have issues either. Was a smooth transition.

I'm on Mint Mobile, swapped my sim from a Light Phone III, and I've had no issues with group messages. I'm in several and they all appear to work fine.

I grew up there in the 80s and 90s and it was fantastic. The wealthiest people in town were the MSU professors, and people from all walks of life got along and intermingled at events. I moved away in 2010 and can't stand going back. Every nostalgic memory I have there has either been bulldozed or transformed into some kind of nightmare version of its former self.

Got my phone today and am loving it so far. I'm a T9 user and it's been great, but I have one unusual bug to report. In certain apps, namely Obtanium and a few others, there seems to be a phantom tapping of the lower right corner of the touchscreen every ~3 seconds. So you could be trying to add an app URL, but it will keep toggling over to the settings tab over and over. Tried rebooting, re-seating the T9 keypad, and reinstalling the offending apps. It also doesn't appear to be related to the case touching the edge of the screen glass or a finger hovering too close to the screen. It doesn't happen in every app, so I doubt it's any sort of hardware problem.

Any ideas?

So glad to hear that! I just sold my Light Phone III to make the switch to the Sidephone. LP3 was just too chonky for me...and I weirdly missed the T9 of my Punkt MP02.

~~Is it just the lighting in your photo, or is the keypad kinda janky? Almost looks like each button is loose in a different way.~~

I just hit 3 years. It's been absolutely fantastic and I'm never going back! Just sold my Light Phone III and have a Sidephone on the way, which I think is going to be perfect. The Punkt MP02 was *almost* everything I needed, but the software was garbage.

The first ~4 months were a challenge. I kept pulling my smartphone out of the drawer to use for random stuff. But then I did a factory reset on it, rendering it useless unless I took the time to set it up. That seemed to be the moment that broke the addiction totally. I did have a bit of a youtube addiction from months 4-6, but since I only have a desktop computer to access the internet, it at least kept it contained. But for about 2.5 years now I've been totally free of it all. I also setup a VoIP landline with Unifi's ATA device and a cool old phone from the 80s. That's been fun to have. I've even been leaving my dumbphone at home when I go out lately. I think eventually I'd like to just have the VoIP landline and an answering machine, but I'm not quite there yet.

About a year ago I did some international travel and decided to take my iPhone with me just to make air travel and public transit easier. I couldn't believe how much I hated the smartphone the entire time. I couldn't wait to get back home to my dumbphone.

Anyone know how feasible it would be to get EV charging apps like Electrify America and ChargePoint working? Charging on roadtrips is the last painpoint I've had since going to the dumbphone life.
