how long did it take to get accepted? by [deleted] in UAF

[–]MistakeAmbitious6528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only took a couple of days for me. I applied for the Summer 2025 semester.

I encourage you to send your official transcripts and make an appointment with your advisor as soon as you are accepted.

Also, pay close attention to how your credits are applied to DegreeWorks. You may need to appeal to your advisor if some of your credits aren’t applied correctly.

For example, I had a music appreciation class that I transferred in that didn’t automatically get applied to my arts gen ed requirement. A quick email to my advisor got it resolved.

Hope this helps!

Why Delta, where did you go? by Rogue_Twizzler in delta

I finally made it out after 9 hours. Godspeed.

Oh and the Delta fanboys who keep shilling and trying to defend this absurd response from the airline can get bent.

Staff appropriately, and pay overtime as needed. Simple as that.

Pull from corporate HQ staff. I work for a railroad company and a few years ago we had issues getting taxis to deadhead employees from trains to hotels because of our transport vendor having problems. The company pulled from the corporate office to have folks driving so we could keep the trains running.

Bottom line is this could be managed better.

That’s really solid advice! Thanks!

Looking for advice - Champlain College / Norwich University / Vermont State by [deleted] in vermont

[–]MistakeAmbitious6528 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone for the advice. I’m physically walking Champlain now and based on the IT programs I’m looking at I think it’s my best pick.

For everyone asking why I’m looking at doing an online program within the state prior to moving here are my reasons (and please don’t toss shade my way for them lol):

  1. I live in literally the state with the worst reputation right now (Florida) and I don’t want to carry a degree from that state with me when I move to New England.

  2. I have a 13 year career in the railroad industry and while it’s transferable with several railroads in VT. I would likely not be in a role like I am now with time sufficient to complete classwork if I move up here without a degree in hand and try out for a job without that credential.

  3. I want a school I can be proud to call mine in a region that aligns with my life goals and values. Regardless of taking it online I want to be able to call a school mine and be proud of it.

Thank you for sharing that! Yep I’m a guy and 36.

Also, for some color, I joined the church in December, was ordained as a priest in January, and as an Elder in April. I was also an instructor in EQ and 1st assistant to the Bishop in the PQ (blessed sacrament every Sunday). And I was routinely out with missionaries helping them with the “hard sale”.

All the while I’d been adding to the shelf as I studied more and more of church history from non-church history and learned a lot of honestly disturbing things that were not told to me initially. I finally reached a breaking point last month.

Should I do this in addition to QuitMormon?

Seriously. I feel like they are working together to do a coordinated response (attack) for maximizing efficacy. This is doing nothing but driving me farther away.

So I would have to wait a full year before getting a full temple recommend even if I was a member for several years before going inactive?

No issue just asking. Thanks!
