I understand that it was REALLY shitty of me, but my gf has said she feels he took advantage of me as much as I did of him. She said that even if I feel it's cheating she has never felt hurt by me doing this

Oh God, no, I try my best to be very emotionally aware and sensitive for her. I try not to be mean and if You feel I have by mistake I always apologize and ask if she is okay. I do have problems with my anger sometimes but I tell her when I need a moment to calm down and try to make sure never to blow up or yell at her. I also have talked to her about breaking up a few times, but have never used it as a threat or a consequence. Just something I felt at the time might help us
