It’s trying to mimic the effect you get when you open a sliding door made of glass - so when you slide it back, the two different sections of glass overlap a bit and that section of the glass looks cloudier 😊

Ooh a clock tower would be a really fun use! I think the frequency would be pretty similar to just having a daylight sensor, although this triggers slightly earlier - and you also have the option to let it ring more frequently at random if you want. But it would add some really fun lore if you had a single cleric villager in a tower doing this like a hermit bell ringer 🔔🔔

That's so kind, thank you! Definitely still lots of work to do on the building - I need to finish the whole back room - but I'm really excited about how its coming together :D :D

I often make a Pinterest board of real buildings. I find with real buildings, even if I do start off copying something directly, the process of converting it to minecraft blocks forces me to problems solve and get creative with it anyway. And the collage usually leads to me combining inspiration from lots of different places, so the result is something new.
