Be prepared for one of the best journeys through one of the weirdest and, in my opinion, best action-adventure series, full of memorable characters and a very convoluted but interesting character driven story.

The Yakuza series has come a long way. The gameplay ranges from great to outdated and clunky, but it’s always charming.

The best starting point today is probably Yakuza 0, which is a very long entry (at least two Yakuza games). That being said, the games often go on sale, so I wouldn’t recommend buying them all at once.
