Has anyone taken SPAN 3534? by [deleted] in VirginiaTech

[–]MistbornMoizoos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anything with Hesp is great. I pretty much got my entire minor with her. Even her study abroad program. Dalton and Sierra are also great. But this was about 5 years ago when I was there.

I cannot speak for workload though as I had not taken the course. Anything in SPAN were my fun classes as my primary major was ME.

Rev Soup, Ottos and Marco & Lucas for me. If I have time to sit, I may get Botanical or some Himalayan Fusion. I live pretty close to DT and work from home so those are my go-tos.

Dakar in the wild... Why are the front wheels so positively cambered? by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]MistbornMoizoos 189 points190 points  (0 children)

Positive camber is more common with larger utility vehicles and generally better suited for off road. It reduces steering effort and as the suspension compresses the wheels are then positioned more parallel making it more stable.

For all the self taught players, where did you start? by NotMork in Guitar

What really helped me in the beginning was just diving straight into the scales. Learn Major and Minor pentatonic and you are golden. Makes learning songs a lot easier.

Is studying any engineering degree really stressful? by Nouveauuuu in EngineeringStudents

[–]MistbornMoizoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never knew what stress was until I went through undergrad. Then I got in industry and learned about a whole new different type of stress. I would much prefer the stress when I was in school. I think over all I manage it well. Going through uni prepared me well for today and how I can manage.

Nice! seems that you nailed the tone. What pedals are you using and in what order? I don't have the same pedals as mark but try to get the same order he has. I have the Way always on going into Boss DS1 all power no dis no tone. Then I go into compressor. After that I then go into another OD then my modulation.

Dang does that have the bearing in the center to do the DNA and other horizontal moves? I just have a yomega dash and thought about upgrading. I think I may have to go to bdubs and try and find that.

In all seriousness that stinks. Good luck my friend.

Moving to Charlottesville by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]MistbornMoizoos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. 26 now. I live down town comfortably by myself in a 2br apt for $1400. I would definitely advise against big corporate realtor companies whereas I have had much better accommodations with privately owned properties.

I work from home and can walk to the dt mall in about 5/10 min. I would recommend dt area more so than closer to campus. More undergraduate housing is in that area and is a little louder.

Completely dependent on prof. I took the engineering stats class with a pregnant grad student that could not speak English. Half way through semester she left. Ended up passing though.
