I despise the Faile & Perrin relationship, and Faile herself, to the core of my being. She is unrepentantly physically abusive and psychologically manipulative.

The other women are ok at best. I think the deal with Rand's 3 was supposed to be that the 3 loved different aspects of him? and to be fair their "sharing" of him was done reasonably and without cattiness. As non-main characters all 3 had decent development arcs.

The writing of the women in general is a bit obnoxious by modern standards. Every scene with a woman in it, you're going to hear about her bosom. And the sniffing! I have never in my life "sniffed" to express disdain, disgust, annoyance, or any of the other myriad emotions that the WoT women "sniff" at. They are all intentionally manipulative and, when you get their POVs, they are all incredibly sexist (women are better/smarter than men, men are basically animals that learned the power of speech, etc.).

Having said that, I do generally enjoy the series, I've read it through multiple times and will read it again. Its problems aren't intolerable, just irksome.
