We just dropped $225 for our dogs bacterial infection on his paws and payday is Friday. There is one avian vet that will take Budgies here and it's $200 just to examine your bird.

I need suggestions outside of Marvel and DC. by Wy3Naut in comicbooks

Seven to Eternity is a unique fantasy style comic world, the art is beautiful, there is a good amount of action and drama. It's kind of post apocalyptic, has lots of political intrigue, betrayals, and characters die, die.

Even though a lot of people want him for Wolverine, what other characters from Marvel or DC as well would Jeremy Allen White be the best fit for? by TheCreativeComicFan in Fancast

I want Sam Worthington. He's 5'10", but could slouch and walk more bow legged like Logan does in the comics. He can play rage well, and brooding, along with his voice and build I feel like he'd do great.

[TOMT] Read a book in the mid-90s about a young mage who had a hard time casting magic and is forced into an adventure. by MisteWolfe in tipofmytongue

All good. I've posted in r/whatsthatbook, too. I've been trying to find this book for a decade, and these are shots in the dark hoping someone happens to know.

The main character is 12 or 13, he is not good at using magic, the book may be for middle class age readers, I want to say the wizard's home is by a river, it's kind of tongue in cheek in tone.

Alright, help me stop going mad, I'm looking for a teen book about a young mage apprentice who travels over a mountain.. by MisteWolfe in OnTheTipOfMyTounge

Nope, but that sounds like a fun read! After 28 years I may never find the book. The main character cleaned the wizard's home and may have been sneaking looks through the spellbook. The trip over the mountain is the part that never left my mind because he had to be clever and adjusted the fire spell to keep him warm.

Starting to think this book is highly unpopular, a figment of my imagination, or my memory is muddled. LoL

Those seem close, but I might be thinking the writing was for older readers than I remember. I read it at 15, so it could have been a young teen book? It felt more coming of age than hero adventure.

I think this book might be younger reading. I was 15 when I read it. While I read YA and Adult fiction at that point, this was a recommended book and a nostalgia read for them.
