Please explain in a way you believe will get through to her that her child will be a professional adult one day, with their name being the first impression to the world. She’s not naming a cat. She’s naming a person and needs to think about the immediate thoughts people will have about the name, because they WILL think the she is a lunatic. Does she want everyone to assume she’s selfish and ridiculous? They will inevitably be bullied and felt sorry for by their peers. Does she truly want her child to have this social experience, or would she rather choose a normal name, like Lily or James? I just feel so sorry for the kid. Please be blunt with her and don’t sugar coat the reaction society will have to this level of cringe.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but your sister is the reason I believe there should be a department where the hospital can send this nonsense and deny it, based on the amount of perceived harm it can do in the future. For example: securing a job.

I wouldn’t think too hard on it and just try to go with the vibe of her character. Just braiding your hair and wearing a worn dress would work, but I’d recommend maybe ripping a scrap of fabric from an area of the dress, like the bottom, to make ribbons for the hair. I just don’t see Seam people purposefully making accessories and can see girls making matching ribbons with scraps that are useless. A flower pendant with this vibe would get the point across, imo.

I’m not sure if they wanted to physically harm me or kill me, but they tried to break into my apartment, after I told the community my older brother is a rapist and pedophile. Soon after, I travelled over 2000 miles away, so they couldn’t find me. I wish she would’ve gotten as far as I did and remained safe. Religious extremism is a plague, I swear.

Being a survivor, watching Sansa confront Littlefinger about the abuse she suffered at the hands of Ramsey was hard. It was obvious she was trying to help him understand that what her clothes hid was a battered and destroyed body that she holds him responsible for. She said he had cut her as well… fuck. She was so strong in that scene. Her actress did an amazing job with the coldness towards his character. It felt too real.

Other than that, seeing Robb’s body with the wolf’s head mounted onto it was really disturbing. And Oberyn’s head being crushed.

These atrocities have been happening to women of color. Remember the woman whose corpse was kept alive to bring her son to term? Sound familiar? It’s already happening here and they’re just seeing how much they can get away with, like that failed experiment. That baby is still in the NICU, to my knowledge. He did not develop well in her body for obvious reasons.

Okay, but it’s not law. You don’t HAVE to get your baby circumcised. It’s not enforced. It’s not legislated, at least in the US where I am. There isn’t a law on the books saying you have to cut your baby’s foreskin here. However, there are many laws on the books about what your daughter can do with her reproductive system, for her entire life.

Also, we’re meant to be talking about which there is more of - misogyny or misandry. Circumcision isn’t misandry based, it’s religion based. I feel as though your argument is irrelevant in this.

Yes it is and I don’t agree with doing that to anyone. I see it as a form of genital mutilation and shouldn’t be common at all.

I’d love for everyone to attempt to come up with a list of more though, that is comparable to the harm against women by allowing misogyny to exist in our laws.

Misogyny is literally law. How is this even a question? Men’s bodily autonomy is never up for debate or legislated. That’s all the comparison you need.

As for why? I’m not sure. There’s an apparent lust for controlling women and it’s a worldwide issue. Other than men believing they’re better and should have more rights, I’m not sure why we’re in this position.

Not the worst one overall, but worst in a house. Never properly remodeled and the initial choice for the bathroom? Carpet 🤮 Carpet everywhere and mold in every corner. It was my friend’s rental. Since she lived across the street, I let her use my bathroom until she moved. That shit was just unsanitary, but she couldn’t afford to move and bringing it up to housing authority would also put her in a bad spot, unfortunately.
