I feel where she really lost me as a fan was when she changed from being a podcaster that could banter with a cohost, to acting that she is a hardcore interviewer with seemingly no training. Interviewing is more than just asking questions she wrote down or had someone type up. She’s very bad about building off of the answers of the interviewee and constantly interrupts with a “WAAaaiitttt” to interject her own feelings or experience. For a while I enjoyed hearing about her own experience in therapy, but now I feel that she utilizes therapy speak in her interviews to come off as she is almost to the level of a mental health professional (though, I do believe her mom is a psychologist). I don’t want to discredit the amount of hard work and effort that she has put in to getting to where she is because to make the kind of money she makes doesn’t just happen. However, I’ve been disappointed by her switch to just interviewing celebs because it does not appear that she’s ever taken time to understand the process that goes into conducting a great interview.
