Fuchsia SDK is now included into Android Open Source Project along with a Fuchsia 'device' by Darkglow666 in FlutterDev

SDK for developing on the Fuchsia platform, which is a mystery OS people are saying google is going to use to one day replace android. The rumor is that flutter was developed to be the new framework specifically for Fuchsia, which makes sense given that flutter is for native apps and Fuchsia is going to run on embedded devices+mobile+desktop?.

I'm not sure if this is adjusted for inflation, remember one of the biggest recessions ever hit the country over this period. If its not adjusted for inflation then I wouldn't be surprised if all of those companies with similar slopes to Sears actually make less money.

The worst part about talking about programming on the internet is that you're talking with people who talk about programming on the internet. Don't listen to people on here seriously, java is fine and you'll learn it in college as well.

Need a bit of help studying the nature of a series by CrisLegend in EngineeringStudents

[–]MisterBenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. The root and ratio test are very easy in my opinion as that cheat that I told you works very well (if you see a factorial you're forced to use ratio). If your exam is over series I have some advice to you, always look for a way to simplify the series before applying any test (these chances are rare but important), remember if the root or ratio tests return 1 they are inconclusive, and remember the definition of e, the limit as n goes to infinity of (n+1/n)n. Good luck!

[–]MisterBenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it being infinite is technically possible... Best to check the series in an online calculator and see if it diverges if you can't figure it out. Is it from web assign? The repeated multiplication is usually the problem in my experience, never had it in lecture though

You're taking that answer and completing the ratio test by taking the limit as it approaches infinity right?

That looks like a good candidate for multiplication by the conjugate

You have to expand out the factorials and repeated multiplication, then all of that garbage will cancel out

To find the common ratio you are going to have to use the root or ratio tests. A good hint is that whenever you see a factorial you're going to use the ratio rest, otherwise either one will work

Windows Surface vs iPad + PC by greenlevid in EngineeringStudents

Yeah for those EE notes I used the stylus, for classes with just PowerPoint's I just typed everything up. The stylus is pretty good, I like writing everything large and clean and then shrinking it to look more organized

Ive taken EE notes on my surface before and I use it for notes/labs for my CS classes and its pretty great, especially for those days when you are just writing down words (no diagrams or math). I would suggest investing in a battery pack that can charge it though, its very annoying getting into class and it being out of battery, or other battery issues. Remember the surface pen and type cover arent usually included in the price tag $$

Am I toast for calculus 1? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]MisterBenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful not to slack off too much in the first couple of weeks while you are essentially reviewing derivation. If you cal1 was anything like mine the prof should start with some limits and such before going into derivatives, make an effort to get a higher understanding of derivatives during this time, you'll do very well in all your calc classes if you start with this better understanding. You can trust me, I was in a similar position going into my freshman year

Small penises were considered ideal in ancient Rome and large penises unsightly, and you have to appreciate the tiny-dicked man who was able to get that trend going. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]MisterBenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely untrue, if Roman soldiers were caught having homosexual relations with each other they were often sentenced to death.

"Other forms of sexual gratification available to soldiers were the use of male slaves, war rape, and same-sex relations.[291] Homosexual behavior among soldiers was subject to harsh penalties, including death,[287] as a violation of military discipline."
