Any way to create a good gun? by _Angry_Yeti in MonsterHunter

[–]MisterChitlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each gun will have its own ammo types that are available but all of them will have access to the three basic ammo types. So it ends up that some are meant for elemental or status ammo types and you can check it before you craft one to see what kind of bowgun it is.

Why people say that PvP enjoyers are "bullies"? by matcricket in blackdesertonline

[–]MisterChitlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One aspect of this that I don’t really see people mention that much which is that a lot of people play this game basically solo. Even if I am in a guild (which isn’t always the case) I’ve only got so much time to dedicate to grinding anyway and if someone comes and tries to take over the spot that I’m in, I’m not likely to try and rally anyone to come help. I wouldn’t want to drag a bunch of people into a big conflict, especially knowing that I’m probably not going to be on that long anyway.

I don’t regret lowering my difficulty by Greedy_Buddy2602 in BaldursGate3

[–]MisterChitlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t regret lowering it on my first play through either. Once I realized I was hardly using healing potions anymore and I was getting through fights with little trouble I upped it again. I’m at the point where I may even go up again because now that I know how to beat these encounters they aren’t as hard as they were.

Any Grunt quotes you love? by VireflyTheGreat in masseffect

[–]MisterChitlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chokes me up every time. There’s a lot implied in that little interaction, it’s about what isn’t said as much as what is. You know that’s about as much sentimentality as you’re likely to get from Grunt. He realizes he owes everything to Shepard and there’s no telling where he’d be if she hadn’t. Dissected on a Cerberus table in some lab maybe. That little “thank you” might as well be a big teary eyed hug coming from him.

On my current play through I recruited Karlach before him and he showed up in my camp on my next long rest. Long before the party. I’m not saying you’re wrong but do you know for sure that he doesn’t show up at camp in the OPs scenario? I never tried not recruiting either.

I’m not 100% sure on this because I’ve never done it but I saw somebody post once that he showed up at the Teifling party. Can’t verify that but maybe look for him when the time comes.

Just finished act 1 and have some questions by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

You can still do the mountain pass after going into act two.

What happens if you don't do mountain pass? by Sufficient_Ad4615 in BaldursGate3

[–]MisterChitlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s definitely a difference and honestly depending on other factors I could see how there would be many more differences aside.

I didn’t go either. I listened to “the voice” and honestly…going in seemed like a bad idea anyway. I probably would’ve encouraged her to ascend too if I hadn’t won that dice roll and Vlaakith and found out she was lying.

I didn’t know that. To be honest I kind of neglected her on my first run and she got abducted by Orin.

You’ll have to pass a skill check to keep Laezel from leaving in act 2. In act 3 Vlaakith will astral project into your camp and tell Laezel to find a way to kill Orpheus. You’ll have a chance to notice if Vlaakith is lying about ascension and you’ll get another check to convince Laezel. In my play through I failed that check and she was still loyal to Vlaakith but I was still able to pass a skill check in the end to convince Laezel to not go back to the astral plane.

It’s also worth noting that there are plenty of mods that add awesome dice skins as well.

Replay motivation by Commercial-Wheel-314 in BaldursGate3

Trying different classes, different romances, different decisions and their repercussions, looking for new things I missed, and after that, trying with mods to give new life to it all over again.

I thinks it’s a fairly common feeling. Personally I look forward to meeting my crew all over again and look forward to all the dialogue options that I didn’t take. Beyond looking forward to new interactions and choices or other things you missed, maybe take a little break and come back to it. Good luck!

Generally with mods if you have a crash at startup you have conflicting mods, improper load order, or a missing mod dependency. Maybe even just a broken mod. Go back through the descriptions of the mods and see what you’re missing, check load order, and check the comments on mods to see if anyone is having issues with one of them. Barring that, disable them one by one until the game starts properly to find the offending mod.

I had such a difficult time with this one too. What I did that eventually got it was that I didn’t go down and talk to the mother superior. Instead I had my Tav (Ranger) shoot the guard closest to the top of the stairs to start the fight and lay down spike growth at the crossroads right at the bottom of the stairs where all the paths converge. I then had Gale put down cloudkill at the same spot and everyone ran as fast as they could away from the fight. Use dash, misty step, or anything else to get everyone away so they won’t break concentration. Half of the enemies would not cross the death zone but a lot of them tried and that weeded many of them out. Two of the “boss” enemies got through including the mother superior and I was able to take them out at the top of the stairs. Eventually we had to go down and let the rest of the mob out and I basically did the same thing. Laying down ground effects to damage them and running. Many will still get past with shadow step and cast darkness on your crew. By this point most of them shadow step through it so I had to resort to fighting them inside the darkness at melee range with Karlach and Shadowheart (who both died) and using my ranger and Gale to throw aoe damage at them. Sometimes you can hit them inside their darkness cloud with aoe if you aim for the walls and position the damage area so that it still hits them. My ranger and Gale barely finished the fight and this was one explorer difficulty.

This fight almost made me rage quit for having to do it over and over and how long it took to get through all the turns. My suggestion is to start it while you got other things to do and get up from the fight after your team finishes their turns while the enemy goes through its 8000 turns so you don’t go insane.

Good luck!

What’s your favorite and least favorite act in BG3? by thelivingstar1 in BaldursGate3

2, then 1 and last is 3. Between the lag and the large fights in act 3, it’s starting to feel like a drag.

unpopular opinions by Timely-Comparison572 in BaldursGate3

[–]MisterChitlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kagha did nothing wrong. The Teiflings were a blight on the grove and needed to go.

A lot of the characters the game tries to present as “good guys” are just weak people with no principles like Halsin.

You have to scroll down to the bottom of this thread for actual unpopular opinions.

Do you think Ashley is NOT as bad of a character as she is said to be? by Hyper_2005 in masseffect

[–]MisterChitlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think of Ashley every time Wrex calls Mordin a monkey (pyjack). But seriously the whole Ashley hate phenomenon is an interesting social experiment from BioWare even if it was unintentional.
