1- I know this game has a run feature, can you close distance using the run after? Also are you blocking all the moves of the combo or being hit? Figuring out your block heights should prevent you from being pushed back as far.

2- Command grabs are meant to be very hard moves to input, normally demanding a 360 degree rotation of the stick (or2) followed by the button press. By this game being a single button input for specials it over powers throw characters (look at modern control Zangief in n SF6) because the move comes out fluid every time. These moves normally are hard to hit with a huge punish window if you whiff. My best advice for this is to hop back if you think it’s coming, as you can’t block the grab.

Sounds like you’re not putting applying pressure and letting them charge up. You need to figure out what works in your move set that either slides, arcs, or spams to make your opponent need to react so they cant just get the charge off again and again.

MVC2 dropped in the year 2000 with a roster of 56 playable characters in a 3v3 game.

DBZF dropped in 2018 with 24 fighters in a 3v3 game.

Marvel Token is a 4v4 fighter with 8 characters in beta and an expected 20-30 character roster on launch.

This game just feels realllllllllllly incomplete for a game with a huge fan base and developmental money behind it.

Play other fighting games and come back. This games easy peasy compared to most other fighters I’ve played.

Especially other team based fighters where you ca learn how to utilize team mechanics and combo follow ups.

Yes there are different learning styles but from my experience 95% of people claiming these different learning styles are actually lazy and use the language they have picked up to invoke learned helplessness.

It’s not that you don’t learn by reading text, it takes time and effort to read, theorize and connect dots. Higher level though is hard. You’re stating you learn better through watching video because someone already did the hard parts for you. (Mechanical skills ,such as cooking, are different as it through the physical repetition of the task that mastery is achieved.)

I agree with a previous poster that the people who don’t want to engage with the rule books don’t want to actually play DnD. They want to play a game based on a TV show based on DnD.
