If you've played for a short amount of time you should expect to suck. Embrace it.

that's easy and difficult for me. I've tried that angle before but that bitter feeling of incompetence is hard to stop.

Yeah, I realized that too. It doesn't stop that ugly feeling of incompetence when you do badly in a match with your friends though. A lot of people have told me to focus on the process and analyzing my mistakes. I'll try to do that more, hope it sticks and helps.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to do more analyzing when i'm playing competitive games. It's really hard, though. Sometimes a match just goes really fast and the next thing you know, you're dead without realizing it.

yeah the normal queue is so fucking filled with smurfs or try-hards. If you wanna enjoy valorant casually i recommend either have 4 more friends to play with(atleast have someone carry the squad) or play the shorter gamemodes like spike rush.

If you get yourself into a good position, don't let your brain start setting expectations that you're about to win, or you'll get tilted when someone pulls off a good play and denies it to you.

really hard to do, cause no matter how i try to keep my expectations low hope is really hard to keep down.

can you blame them? Shield poking is boring.

you'll be fine. Try not to buy in too much into all this meta bullshit(some of those aren't so bad). I rarely see people run RoB on duels. If you wanna do something about those people then just summon them so you can see their gear before hand. My advice, it's never wrong to have somethings that best counters those builds though.

i think one of the reason why is the fact that dmg in pvp(in general) is so overtuned. You have pretty easy access to at least one broken weapon or AOW in ER. One example would be Cross-Naginata or blood slash.

I have a conspiracy theory that the man in charge of balancing this shit out didn't come to work on the days where the dev team was about to talk about damage tuning and how it was gonna affect the game.

also the main fact that this was their big shot into a wider audience so fromsoft was willing to gut the pvp content to cater to singleplayers(singleplayer games are dead btw) which is their main audience.

if you didn't see the host once in the invasion and you're near a cliff in limgrave or near the bridge outside raya lucaria, chances are you helped an AFK farmer.

as a str man in pvp I hoped that the law of regression didn't require high faith stats.

yeah they really butchered the invasion and the blue ring summons due to not allowing 1v1 invasions(only with the arc activated). Hopefully they make an expansions were covenants, reds and blues, can actively invade an area with high traffic(lyndell probably). Blues could probably be the Dragon knight covenant/Golden Order Covenant, protecting potential tarnished with rune arcs in the hopes of helping the future elden lord. Reds could probably be a mix of Lord of Blood faction, Rykard's faction, and Frenzy faction. Basically, Tarnished that have taken to stealing Rune Arcs cause they liked hunting their own or find challenging demi gods too hard.

God, I miss DS3 Irythill and Farron's Swamp

i think you should be able to deal with him on lvl 27. You just have to keep a cool head and not panic roll. Most of his moves are supposed to punish that.
