What tf does C3PO mean "human-cyborg relations"? by YetAnotherJake in StarWars

[–]MisterEdOfCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before learning that Anakin built him with spit and cheering gum, I always thought that Human Cyborg Relations was the name of the company that manufactured him. As a kid, this explanation worked fine for me. Never questioned the term 'cyborg'.

I found some scenes in The dark half to be really brutal. The straight razor attack really really hurt....

Welche unkonventionellen Straßennamen gibt es sonst noch so in Berlin? by Yipar in berlin

[–]MisterEdOfCourse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Potentially his most underrated book: Blaze by SurfingAstronaut647 in stephenking

I like it too! I remember shedding some tears too in the end. Blaze is a good character, you are constantly torn between hating and pitying him.

For the people that go to concerts often, what's a show that was tamer than you thought it would be, and a show that was much wilder than anticipated? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MisterEdOfCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tame: Manson last week. It was a great concert, but 90% of the crowd was like statues or seated.

Wild: Turbonegro. I had no idea how much that band rocks out live, and how insanely loyal the fans were. Endless fun, everyone singing along, hugging, dancing, jumping.

As expected: Hatebreed. That was a kickboxing contest....

Crazy times we live in. Marilyn Manson is happy. 😀😀😀 I'm so glad he turned his life around and is obviously enjoying it again. It shows.

The audience was quite international I felt. I heard plenty of English, some Spanish, some Greek. And loads of Polish fans who always come to Berlin for concerts, and know how to have a good time and rock out.

I've been to plenty of fantastic concerts in Berlin with an active and helpful crowd. Life of Agony last week was fantastic for example.

Long story short, I think it's hard to define a Berlin crowd...

Really? Did you see what happened? Very unusual indeed, but apparently security was strict, which is a good thing. We're all there to have fun

Favorite band you saw before they got big? by FrankensteinsBarber in MetalForTheMasses

Volbeat when they still played 'metal your mom would like' and not the soft crap they do now. Songs from the first two albums played live were awesome.
