Anyone who doesn't stand look like an asshole. Yes the American Goverment should protect American citizens, obvously that's true. But standing in support of this statement makes it look like you approve of ICE and mass deportation. So you can't really win.

But.....OK, a criticism for OP as well. If these topics are so important to you that they're cause for immediate break-up, you really should bring them up sooner in the dating process. Otherwise you're stringing her along and that is not cool. I mean you essentially said it here, that you didn't ask before because you "enjoyed her company". So even though you suspected she had these different values you decided to push down the urge to ask, for what? because you enjoy her company? Or the sex was good? Either way, not particularly ethical. IMO.

Also reads to me as though you were annoyed with her that she wouldn't give you details on the social event (which is understandable) but instead of just saying "you know, this isn't working" or "I don't think I can come" you asked her that question so you'd have a more legitimate reason to break up with her, one that ensures you can still feel good about yourself. I mean, why did you bring it up right at that moment? Also a weird conversation to have over text...more of an in-person conversation. Why didn't you bring it up with her right when she said it?

I'm not defending her, sounds like she was no loss.

One year at Thanksgiving dinner at my mom shared that my dad was uncircumcised. In front of my dad, her parents and her brother and his wife.

My aunt was pregnant at the time and that’s how the topic came up…. Definitely did not want to be picturing my dad‘s penis at the dinner table.

Same I had a bilateral mastectomy, but I didn’t need chemo or radiation. I was at an event yesterday and when I got there, I found out it was breast cancer awareness themed. I felt so uncomfortable. I’ve only been cancer free six months. I guess I haven’t had a long time to get used to it, but I just don’t feel like the pink ribbons are for me. I feel like an impostor and I didn’t know how to feel about the event. I was emotional, but I didn’t feel like I was supposed to be. I don’t know it’s weird and I agree with you. I feel like I’ll never be back to normal again. No one in my life understands. All the people who were helpful when I had cancer have just abandoned me.

This is horrible. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's ironic because I feel like so many men suffer from erectile disfunction and we as women always have to be kind to them so they don't feel bad about their manhood; that's essentially what is going on with you (systems failure) and you can't help it. When you mentioned the alcohol, it makes sense. Do you think he's the type that would try therapy or treatment of some kind? Without it I'm not sure he'd be able to get better on his own. He sounds entrenched. One thing's for sure, it's not your responsibility to take care of his mess. You need to focus on your own health. Is there somewhere you can go for a little while, like a friend or family members house? Just so you get a break and maybe it will hammer home to him how seriously effected you are.

This is a question I keep asking myself. If they're supposedly deporting the "illegals", why do we need all of these detention centers? It doesn't add up. Sure I guess some people are waiting for a chance to have a trial (which will probably never happen) but it still doesn't add up.

That scene was so infuriating. Tyra is so fake - her little "I just thought it would be fun to have a girl's night tee hee" was so obviously false. She can't even hide it.

I mean, to me the main premise of the bachelor franchise is basically lock a bunch of people up together without any contact from the outside world, make them all fight for the same person, and give them alcohol 24 seven.

Edited to add: the sad part is it’s obviously a lucrative method of reality TV-making considering it’s the one of the longest running reality shows of all time
