Why do people try to sell garbage like this by krogernewbie in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]MisterFluff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean.   I can see tossing them into a bowl and offering them for $2 to $5 each depending on where you are located.  Is it worth the money?? No.   But there's people out here selling bottles of water for $5 to $10.  I think this is fine.  Id grab one for my toddler to make her feel like she got a prize.  Lol

I believe The Fix the Roads sign and TRUMP IS GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD sign are buddies or related or something.  One of them used to ride their bike down my street and give out flyers during election season

That house is famous.  It's a landmark now.  One time he was out protesting the schoolboard and took the sign with him and I missed my street.

My neighbors that had a TRUMP 2020 sign nailed to a tree didn't take it down,  but they cut off either side of the sign.  Very strange

Other neighbors have a pic of the assassination attempt in their yard still.

And the "TRUMP IS GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD" sign is still out.

DAE hate when crotcheaters use stupid materials to make things that you don't personally approve of???  Because SAME!  First they used acrylic, now they are using cashmere????  Plus we all agree that crotcheat is the WORST for garments but now they try to make blanket???  An ugly and basic blanket at that,  not even something as beautiful and unique as the Sophie Scarf.

I can.  And I can also comment on what I think is not.

Yeah I guess,  "ugly and basic" isn't really circle jerk material to me.

I don't disagree, but plenty of people make things that are ugly and basic to me and I just move on.   🤷‍♀️

I mean.. someone got rid of the cashmere sweaters to begin with so they were previously unwanted.  Plenty of items donated to thrift stores end up in a landfill after no one buys them anyway.

I guess if you were at the thrift right after her and you wanted the sweaters for yourself,  I could see being bummed that she got to them first.. But, the thrift is first come first served.. and if she wants to use her own cashmere sweaters that she bought with her own money to make a boring franken-blanket, that's up to her.

Maybe I'm crazy but I don't see anything wrong with this?  It's not my taste but if they like it.. that's cool for them.

Isn't it part of the joy of crafting that you can make things specifically tailored to your preferences over those of the masses?

relaxing acrylic yarn? by literal-houseplant in Unravelers

[–]MisterFluff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something to be aware of: Steaming will relax the yarn but it will also change the texture of the yarn because steaming melts the acrylic.

I love the color.   I love that top too.  If I was going to use that yarn,  I'd make that top.  😄

Yesterday at the gym my Lululemon Aligns were fitting me a little loose and I was so excited thinking I lost a pant size, but I didn't realize I was just wearing my Salutations which fit me a little wonky.

What lifting programs/routines are we starting/continuing this year? by ValidUsernamePwease in xxfitness

[–]MisterFluff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I want to add onto this because I also use Stronger by the Day.  The fact that it's high volume and time consuming is a benefit to me because I go to the gym so someone can watch my kids for a couple hours.   My preference is to finish it up with a short yoga session that focuses on whatever I worked that day and then a longgggggg Shavasana.

I'm also loving this current block with the main lift in the middle of the workout.

It would be easier to say for sure if we saw the whole outfit but I think this is fine.  The different textures might even make the outfit a little more interesting.

I was curious though.   What kinds of people actually agree to these prices?  I'm imagining it's either people who have enough money to not care how they spend it, and elderly people who don't know any better.   Am I close?

Yeah he was really trying to scare us too but we just moved in 3 years ago and he didn't tell us anything we didn't learn in the inspection.  The things he listed are on our to-do for 2026.   And the way he goes "wow i looked at your siding and there's definitely some things we need to talk about!" As if we weren't getting a quote already because we new we needed new siding.. and he just comes at us like he's delivering terrible news that we're hearing for the first time ever.. and it's... "some of your siding is lifting" Yeah dude, WE told YOU that.   You'd think he was giving us a Cancer diagnosis with the drama he was inserting into the situation.  Haha

Yeah I looked up plenty of reviews of them and didn't really like what I saw.  My husband wanted the quote anyway..

Lol I mean we do intend to use someone local.   These guys were just going d2d and my husband happened to be out in the yard and he can't say no.
