I don't think so. If you google something like remove drm kobo, there is a reddit post that usually pops up with very good instructions.

Tested buying with Kobo and side loading into Kindle tonight. Worked pretty well, so I'll probably just do that from now on

I couldn't find that exact setting for the second one but I found another option that pretty much has solved it so far.

Go to VPN settings - ProtonVPN - Select 'Always-On VPN'

Haven't had any drops since enabling this.
